After the rush and excitement of the day had calmed down, Bella and Hannah were set in the back of the car with Bella's father driving them home.

Although the band had gotten only third at the state level, it still had been an amazing day for Hannah. They had finally made it to finals! It was exciting, but the thing Hannah enjoyed the most about that Saturday was the fact that now she could hold Bella's hand and look into her eyes. Her dream had finally come true.

"You said I'm staying with you?" Hannah asked as the two of them sat together, hand in hand. Bella had her head on Hannah's shoulder, which the girl didn't mind one bit.

"Yep! For a whole week! Your parents think you're going on a trip with friends for fall break." Bella giggled and looked up at her with big eyes. Hannah melted every time she saw her big beautiful eyes.

"Awesome! They probably won't even miss me." Hannah sighed a bit. She hated how her parents were so forgetful and careless about her. Bella reached over and held her hand, leaning closer to kiss her on the cheek. "Don't worry about them now. Focus on the here and now. Focus on us!"

When Bella spoke, Hannah smiled. She nodded a bit and snuggled the girl closer to herself. "You're right, us being together is the only thing that matters right now."

They were headed to Bella's house. It was a long drive. It made Hannah feel special, that Bella and her father had driven this far just for HER. She couldn't imagine how much money they spent on things like gas and food. It made her wonder how Bella's mom would feel. She knew that she'd meet her sooner or later. How would she feel about her daughter coming back home with a random stranger? They'd just have to wait to find out.

It was really late in the night so it wasn't long before Bella was fast asleep. Hannah would be soon too, it had been a long day full of performing and joy. In the little time before she fell asleep, Hannah heard Bella's father begin to talk to her.

"So, you're the Hannah my daughter has told me so much about." He spoke as he drove, the radio turned up only barely so they could talk a bit.

Hannah set up some, trying not to disturb Bella's sleep any. "Yes, sir." She began speaking, a bit nervous about what he was going to say. What if he got to know her and didn't like her? That would upset her a lot. Hannah wanted Bella's family to like her. The "sir" had come out on accident. She was just trying to show him that she had respect for him, only a bit of it though.

Steve laughed and looked back at her. "There's no need to call me sir, Hannah...and don't look so scared. This is just a talk about Bella. I'm not going to chew you out, yet." The male smiled back at her and put his eyes back on the road. "I'm a father, you know. I have to make sure you're going to treat Bella right. I know how she's been treated in the past by people like you, and I'm sure you do too. I don't want a repeat of the last time."

Hannah sat in the back, listening to her girlfriend's father speak. The girl agreed entirely with him. What had happened to Bella before was awful. The people who thought they could walk all over her were more than wrong. Bella was such an amazing and strong person. Even though she had been through a lot of things that she shouldn't have, Bella still made everyone around her happy and kept her head up most of the time. Hannah loved her for her strength. Hannah loved her for everything about her, really, but her strength encouraged her. The older girl looked down at the sleeping girl on her shoulder with a soft smile before turning her attention back on Steve.

"Don't worry, sir. I love her so much. We've been through a lot together and we always seem to be there for each other no matter what comes our way. I know that she hasn't been treated right by certain people before and I hate it. She deserves more than that and I hope that I can be the one to show her that and be better than those who thought that she didn't. Bella is everything to me, sir. I have never hurt her before and I won't ever even try to. I know that, as her father, you don't want her to be hurt by anyone like she has. I hope that I can show you that I am not like the people who have treated her awfully. I love her so so much, sir. I want to be there for her for the rest of my life, or at least as long as she wants me by her side. She is a queen to me. I would never treat her like a peasant."

Hannah could feel the tears forming in her eyes. Everything she had just said was true. Bella meant the world to her and she would never hurt her. It would kill her if she ever was the reason Bella was upset or was hurting. The people who had treated Bella like they could use her as a toy were the stupidest people Hannah had ever known of. They didn't know that the person they were messing with was such an amazing and perfect person and that they were hurting someone who didn't deserve any of it.

Steve smiled at what the girl said. He felt as though he could trust this girl, even though he had just met her. If Bella had been with her this long, then something must be going right. "Thank you, Hannah. I can tell you really care about and love my daughter. It's really nice to finally meet someone who can make Bella so happy." He turned his attention back to the road. "Oh, and don't call me sir. Steve will be fine." The adult male laughed a bit.

Hannah smiled, feeling sleep tug at her mind, her eyes drooping a bit. "Thank you, Steve. It's nice to meet you too. I hope I'm not a bother." She smiled, letting sleep finally take her as she heard Bella wake up beside her. The sleepy, but awake, young girl smiled and whispered to her girlfriend. "Goodnight, Senpai. I'll wake you up when we're home."
