Dom, Terra and I returned to the armies to tell our tale of sorrow and joy, while Roche stayed to help his people rebuild their city and to tell them of his father’s death. Throughout it all, I couldn’t keep my excitement about what the future held. Roche and I had been formally married the next day, and everyone attended to see the joining of not only two people, but two countries. Father and Roche worked out the details and the treaties, but all in all it was just a lot of nonsense that had to be done to please the ministry. The newly formed Socoldre, as our new home was called, quickly rebounded from the Sira darkness, and while tensions between the people were still high, the threat of all-out war was gone. Over the years our world rediscovered some of the wonders that had been lost in the years under Sira rule, and before long, the Sira had become nothing more than a bad memory.
