Running In Cirles

I laugh and nudge him in the side with my elbow. He snickers and shoves my shoulder. 

"I'll race you." I say. giving him a challenge.

"Oh, I'm definitely winning this." He says getting up.

Nobody around notices him and I standing up. It's as if its just us in the room. We walk over to the long hallways and prep ourselves.

"You ready?" He asks.

"Always." I say confidently.

"Ready. Set. GO!"

We race down the hallway, right next to each other. We make turns and laugh with each other. He pulls my shirt and drags me back as I ease ahead of him. I run harder and nudge his side. He slows down and smiles at me. We keep nudging and pulling each other back until we're almost to the end of the hall. We are both exhausted and breathing heavy. 

When we are finished we stand in place, bent over heaving. 

"Dang you can run fast. You must've been practicing." He says giving me a lopsided smile. 

"Of course. I couldn't lose to you again."

"Well, no one lost this time. We both win." He says with a huff.

"I'm fine with a tie. Now lets go get something to drink." I said pulling him away.

Right then, there was no where else that I would rather be.
