Sophia had snuck into Zayne's house. Now that they have known each other for a while, she now lives with him in his house. It was a simple apartment. The carpet was green while the walls were white. He had pictures of him and his brother all around the house. But there was one large one in his living room right over a fireplace, where his parents and his brother were all in. Across that fireplace was a dark green couch with a coffee table in front.
Now that Sophia moved in, Zayne's brother moved in with Zayne, so Sophia could get her own room. Luckily, it had a balcony! Sophia did the same thing she did with her last bedroom...Dragged the mattress out to the balcony and slept there, unless if it was storming.
Sophia has met Zayne's brother by now. His name, was Pence. He had black hair like his brothers, but his eyes were brown. Zayne said he got them from his father. Zayne got his looks from his mother.
Anyway, Sophia took her hood off, then took off her cloak, which revealed her regular clothing underneath. Her clothing were now drenched in blood, so Sophia had to quickly go to the kitchen where all the medicine was, and treat herself before Pence or Zayne woke up.
But she was too slow. Just as she finished wrapping her shoulder with a white bandage, she turned around and there was Zayne, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. He used one hand to flick on the light switch so he could see Sophia better.
"So...Why are you sneaking around?" He demanded as he stood up straight.
Sophia chuckled nervously. "Oh, just needed some water. But apparently there's these group of kids who want to be just like me so they've come up with this gang called the-"
"Sophia." Zayne interrupted sternly. He walked toward her and glared st her shoulder. "So, who did it?"
Sophia sighed and closed her eyes. "Just some thief."
"What happened?"
"Look, this woman was being attacked okay? The thief threw the knife and I jumped in front of it so it wouldn't hit her! There, satisfied!?"
Zayne got close to her face. "Why didn't you just say something?" He wondered. He then stiffened and placed a hand on his hip. He shook his head, and Sophia was thinking that he was probably mentally slapping her silly. "Well, whatever. Did you grab any parts like I asked?"
Sophia's eyes widened as she snapped her fingers. "Shoot I forgot! I'm so sorry! Here, I'll go out right now-"
Zayne held up a hand to stop her from going. "No, it's okay. We can just go out later. Right now, how about you get some rest?" He then suggested. He glanced at her shoulder with a worried expression. "You seem tired."
Sophia sighed. "All right. Thanks." She pushed past him and went to her room. Zayne started to go after her until he heard her say, "Oh, hey Pence." Then there she heard a door close.
He heard his younger brother, Pence walk into the kitchen. When he saw his older brother, he smiled warmly. "Morning Zayne! What's for breakfast?"
Zayne pinched the bridge of his nose. "Of course that's the first thing you ask every morning." Zayne said with slight distress. But the mood was gone almost instantly because Pence gave him those puppy-eyes. He always does that when he wants something, Zayne couldn't resist it most of the time...And now was that time. "Oh fine. What do you want?"
Pence beamed brightly and jumped onto a chair. "Bunny pancakes!" He hollered.
Zayne pressed his fingers up against his lips. "Shhh. Sophia is trying to sleep." He whispered.
Pence slapped his hand over his mouth. "Oops...Sorry."
"Anyway, you're eight. Aren't you too old for bunny pancakes?"
