Chapter 1 - And I'm Gunna Fly

Becky chewed her gum and looked out the window, her phone up against it taking a time lapse. This was going to be the best video she had ever created, she wasn't sure quite what the concept would be yet, she knew it would tell a story but that was all.

As the plane sored higher and through the clouds Becky stopped the camera and played her Musical Theatre Playlist, starting with In the Heights. She pulled her laptop out and started typing away. Before she knew it she heard the final line of the 'Finale', and she had edited 8 chapters of 'Rising' the sequel to their successful book 'Falling'. 'Who lives? Who dies? Who tells your story?' Becky heard through her headphones. Half way across the Atlantic Ocean on her way to New York. She was finally getting to see the city for herself. She still had no idea what plans Mandy had made for her. But she knew she was in for the trip of her life.

Dear Evan Hansen, Wicked, Starlight Express, Amelie and some other random songs later and the landing announcement came on.

"Hello and welcome to the greatest city in the world..."€ Becky smiled at the possibly intentional reference to Hamilton. "We will be landing at JFK airport in approximately 10 minutes so please start to pack up all your belongings, and check under your seat and the pocket in front of you for any loose items you don't want to forget. Thank You for flying with British Airways and we want to wish you all a wonderful stay here in America" Becky put her laptop away and checked the time. 6pm ET, Mandy was just finishing her Sunday matinee. She wasn't going to the stage door that afternoon, so she had time to change and meet Becky at 6:30. The intercom came on again "We want to wish Becky an especially wonderful time here, we know this has been her dream for a while and let us say, you are in for an adventure Becky. Mandy has some dream to reality plans for you. Don't throw away your shot and remember to just breathe."

Becky stayed silent, she looked at her friend Hannah asked her "Was that for you?"

"I guess so, I doubt there any other Broadway fans, called Becky, who are meeting a Mandy, on this plane." Becky replied still in shock.

The plane landed, and Becky and Hannah ran hand in hand to grab their luggage and make their way to Mandy. As they waited in the customs line Becky finally turned off airplane mode on her phone. She had been too excited to get off the plane beforehand to do it straight away. She connected to the airport WIFI and her phone practically blew up. "Look at you miss popular." Hannah said through giggles. "Yeah, it can be quite hectic, especially when Lin, Mandy, Karen and Chris all tweet about you at once." She laughed looking at her phone scrolling through her notifications. She eventually opened twitter. '50 notifications', "This could take a while," Becky said.

She started at the bottom:

'@_mandygonzalez mentioned you in a tweet: Last show of the week done! Off to meet my girl @becky_hamfam. This is going to be a crazy week! I hope you're ready Becky, and #FearlessSquad you can all be in on the action over on the Fearless Squad Snapchat. (FearlessSquadxo) <3 U!'

Becky liked and quote tweeted it saying 'I'm so ready for my week of adventure! Hannah and I just landed. How did you plan that airplane announcement?!?! I can't wait to see you again and for you to meet part of my #FearlessSquad. <3 U too.'

Lin had quote tweeted Mandy's tweet saying '@becky_hamfam I hope you got some sleep on the plane, this is going to be a busy and eventful week!'

'uhhhh nope! But I did write loads of chapters for my ITH story. I had a really cute part and a really emotional part to edit as well! I may have cried! Benny and Nina are just too adorable!!' Becky replied to him.

Chris had also tweeted her.
