The Country and The City

Where it all began...

"Ahhh.... it's an early morning for me".

So here I am lying around the house since I've got nothing to do except playing video games... It's not that I'm a lazy kind of person, by the way, it's summer so no school for this three months!

"Leri! Get ready! We're going out for this summer!!" Mom called.. 'Did she say, we're going out?! YES!!! I think to some relaxing beaches or maybe OUT OF TOWN!'

I hurriedly pack my things and then go downstairs to put my things in our van.. "I'm ready Mom!" I said. "Good, now, tell your little sister. She's on our next door neighbor-- again."

"Got it Mom!" as I tend to go outside.

Knock! Knock!

The door opened when I'm about to say "Good morning! I'm here for my

--li—ttle—si—ster" the cat got my tongue when I saw the person who opened the door. ---------it was my longtime crush, Ash Grayson... "Oh well.. G-good Morning Leri!" he greeted... "H-hello Ash!, What brings you here?" I asked. "I'm staying here with my relatives this summer... What about you? Do you live in this neighborhood too?" he said. "Well, yeah... I live next door... so you mean you're gonna spend your summer here huh.." I said- a little bit down. "Yeah.."

WHAAT? My mind is about to explode, it's a chance to be with my crush this summer here but I lost this opportunity since my parents had already decided to go out...

"What a bummer"..... "What? Sorry I didn't hear you, what did you say Leri?"

Crap! I didn't realize.. I'm too focused on thinking in my head that I blurted my thoughts so carelessly. I'm glad that he didn't hear me... "Oh.. I said is my little sister here?"

"Yes, she's here... Just a moment," he replied.

How I wish to stay here with him this summer..

Well, I started to like him since we were first years. I met him by an accident- when I bumped with him in the hallway. He helped me to stand up but I sprained my ankle so he gave me a piggyback ride to the nurses' clinic... when we're on our way to the clinic he stopped and changed positions, instead he carried me like a princess. He said that he noticed that I was adjusting my skirt when he did the piggyback ride.. He's so thoughtful, and after that, he stayed with me in the clinic until it's time to go home. After that day, whenever we see each other we started to greet each other—I feel like we're connected...

"What is it sis?" my little sister Ven asked. "Mom is looking for you to get ready because we're going out this summer!" I replied. "Really? Yes!!" she ran off while humming. She really wants to go out.

"So... you're going out huh?" 'What a bummer'

Is this just my imagination? Did he say what a bummer for real?

"Y-y-yeah." I said- blushed. "Good luck then, have a safe trip!" he said... Wait. Is he blushing? His face turned pink... "Thank you! You too have fun!" I said.

Awww... I feel kinda sad even though we're going out this summer to have some fun. There's a part of me wants to stay... there's next time I guess...
