dharmo vivardhati yudhiṣṭhirakīrtanena |
pāpaṃ praṇaśyati vṛkodarakīrtanena ||
śatrur vinaśyati dhanaṃjayakīrtanena |
mādrīsutau kathayatāṃ na bhavanti rogāḥ ||"The one who takes the name of Yudhisthira, their Dharma and virtues will increase manifold, the one who takes the name of Bhima, their sins will be destroyed, the one who takes the name of Dhananjaya, he will destroy all enemies, and the ones who take the names of the twins or the sons of Madri will be cured of all illness"
yudhiṣṭhiro dharmamayo mahādrumaḥ; skandho 'rjuno bhīmaseno 'sya śākhāḥ |
mādrīsutau puṣpaphale samṛddhe; mūlaṃ kṛṣṇo brahma ca brāhmaṇāś ca ||
"Yudhisthira is the roots of the Dharma tree, Arjuna the trunk, Bhima the branches, and the two sons of Madri as the leaves and flowers of the tree; the Mulam/nectar of this tree, and the primordial is Krishna, Brahma and the Brahmanas"
(In this tree, however, there is a version where Bhima and Arjuna are exchanged; Bhima is the trunk and Arjuna the branches- there is a logical explanation behind this which I will write later)
