Everything felt numb. All there was, was the sound of beeping and quiet sobs. Mikey couldn't move anything, all he could do was open his eyes. His eyes looked around the white, plain ceiling. Slowly, he attempted to move his head around. He noticed doctors, and big machines, and a male with brown orangish hair. The male's face was hidden in his hands, quiet sobs leaving his lips.

None of that ever happened.

Mikey never went home with Gerard for a happy ending.

Everything was a dream. A dream where he woke up to have a happy ending.

The doctor's quickly noticed Mikey was awake, after he let out a groan of pain. The male on the seat beside him looked up, noticing Mikey awake. He jumped up, dropping his note book. A smile grew on his teary face. "MIKEY!"

Mikey didn't respond. He stared at the male with a blank face, and even if he wanted to reply, he wouldn't know how. The male just looked back, the smile slowly fading from his face. He was so happy, and now, that happiness was gone. He looked at the doctors, starting to panic. The doctors started checking everything. Trying to help the boy. The crying male was told to leave. He caught a quick glance of the confused Mikey before he walked out.

Hours passed, and Mikey was asleep in the bed. Gerard quietly went into the room, and sat beside Mikey. He gently grabbed his hand, causing Mikey to awake a bit. The boy yawned, and looked down at his hand. He then realised it was the same crying male from earlier. The male smiled, looking down at Mikey.

"Hi, baby brother..."

Then, it clicked. Gerard. His older brother. His best friend. Mikey instantly held his hand tightly, with all his strength, managing to choke out a small "G- Gee..." before he couldn't speak. Gerard got more happy.

"Yes.. yes.. it's me, Mikey....It's your older brother. Listen, buddy. You're going to have to be strong. I can't stay for long. They want me out so they can do tests on you. Please.. Please be brave. I know you can.." Gerard smiled at him, holding his hand tightly. Mikey nodded slowly, holding the hand back. Soon, the doctors came in, and told Gerard he needed to go. Gerard waved at Mikey, mouthing "I love you." Mikey waved back, and watched him leave. He then let the doctors do whatever they needed.

It was all a dream.

Nothing had a good ending.

Nothing ever does.
