Constantly thoughts of paranoia and anxiety filled his head, worried of people judging him and thinking how weird he must be. At this point in the day he was sitting down at a small cafe inside of a book store. He usually spent a lot of time here since bookstores were really the only places he felt safe rather than his own lonely life at home. He had splurged so much money to make him feel better that he started regretting many things. Money or things couldn't make him happy and he knew that. Dating was difficult for him, he had dated at least twice, both girls. First girl left him for feeling different and wishing that sometimes he would rather be a girl, and the other just because she had moved away, he missed her because she really seemed to be the only person who accepted him as a person. David sat there nervously on his laptop trying to think of something to do, he got up and packed his things away to go look around the store. Sometimes he just loved to go in a bookstore just to look at the titles or search around and find something to read.

He finally found his favorite section, a entire shelf full of Stephen King novels, his steady diet of reading mainly consisted of it. But today some one stood there, a girl wearing a green jacket, black jeans and a beanie. Her hair was sort and dyed a blue color, she was looking down at the bottom shelf. David felt nervous as ever, girls were difficult for him, especially being at least five feet close to one. He panicked almost yet kept his ground, trying to slowly walk over trying not to look at her. She glanced over at him and he tried to act normal looking at the shelf. "You read Stephen King?" "What oh um, yeah, a lot" he tried to smile "you?" "Oh nah but I'm curious, which ones do you recommend?" David glanced at the self and pulled out two books "these, IT and The Shining, both are classics in my opinion." She looked at them both and smiled, "thanks, you read a lot I take it?" "Yeah I do tend to read a lot" David noticed she had pins on her jacket referencing The Office and Ready Player One. "So um, I'm, Lily" he tried to hold his hand out to shake hers, she shook davids hand smiling. "Carrie, nice to meet you Lily" David slightly trembled with joy and fear at the same time. "So you do anything else then spend your time in bookstores?" David nodded "the movie theater or my house" he laughed "not bad, not bad at all, sounds like me really."

David looked at her smiling "so um, are you" he blushed a bit trying to find the words "what free this evening?" Davids eyes darted at her looking confused "wait, what?" "Yeah I know, I can spot someone into me a mile away" David blushed a bright red "plus you look like a tomato right now" "oh shit" David laughed rubbing his forhead "that happens a lot." Carrie smiled "I think its cute~" she smiled taking the books out of his hands and putting them under her arm "anyway I can give you my number just hand me your phone." David pulled his phone out and handed it to her, she typed it in and gave it back. "Anyway I hope to see you later, I better get home and feed my cat." She smiled to him "wait, wait I need to tell you something first" David said quickly and immediately regretted it. "Oh, whats that?" David stood there for a second hesitant of saying the truth "look I hate to, well, say this now but you seem, into me i guess and, well, I'm, uh, I'm a crossdresser...." David closed his eyes expecting the worst "really?" He nodded "yeah I am" "cool~" he opened his eyes "what?" "I said cool, I'm pan sexual" she smiled and winked "doesn't matter to me man, just call me, we can find a time to hang." She smiled walking off while he stood there at a loss for words. "Whoa~" he smiled, then thought, for now, i have no desire to be a male right now.
