It was a cold winter night and it was nearing the end of my shift at the hospital. It was about 2 am and we had just finished up with a patient when I was told I could go home. I headed out of the hospital and walked to my car a drove off. My eyes were heavy and my stomach growled at me, begging me to eat. I arrived at my house about five minutes later and pulled into the garage. I share the house with my boyfriend David and he was sure to be asleep unless he was up playing with his friends online. I got out of the car and quietly made my way inside, taking off my shoes and coat as soon as I entered. After putting my bag down I went over to the kitchen to grab a quick snack before heading to bed. To my surprise, I saw a small plate with a sandwich on it and a note.

I smiled and ate the sandwich. After I was done eating I went upstairs and heard David yelling at a game in the other room. I walked into the bathroom and let my (h/l) (h/c) hair out of its bun and brushed it out then brushed my teeth. I went into our room and changed into a pair of sweatpants and a loose t-shirt. Even though I was tired, I decided to let Nogla know I was home. I walked down the hall to his office and opened the door to see him playing Fortnite with Brian, Tyler, and Craig. I walked over and threw my arms over his shoulders and rested my head on his.
"Oh, welcome home! Did ye eat yet?" He asked me.
"Yes, I ate your sandwich ya doof," After I said that, I heard Tyler on discord let out a loud 'awwww' to taunt Nogla.
"Shut the fock up ye pussy bitch!" David said in response.
"Oh wow, I'm hurt, Davy!" I say in a fake hurt voice. He swivels around in his chair pulls me close. I see that he had died early in the round and had muted himself.
"I'm sorry but that wasn't directed at you," He says, giving me puppy dog eyes. I sit on his lap facing him and smile.
"I know ya goof," I give him a small kiss on the lips and stand up. "Well, I'm going to bed so either stay quiet or wrap it up." I see him nod as he turned back to his computer. I shut the door and walked down the hall back to our room and climbed into bed. Before dozing off I heard shuffling noises and the door open, then I felt him climb in and wrap his arm around my waist.
