I thought I'd mix the ships up a lil 🤷🏼♀️
• Richie's POV •
"You heard? Gretta's boyfriend is throwing a party for senior year." Beverly announced openly to the group, the six of us sprawled across the furniture of the denbrough household.
Me and Eddie on the couch with our legs folded over the cushions along with our arms, Ben on the sofa with his feet rested on the coffee table, Mike and Beverly on the carpet gazing up at the ceiling, and lastly Stanley was seated elegantly with his legs crossed, sitting in the separate wooden rocking chair.
"and?" Eddie took a glance at Beverly who seemed to be in a trance as she stared at the fluorescent wallpaper.
"well, I was thinking.." she started, through before she could finish, Bill poked his head around the corner from the kitchen.
"I nuh-know that look." Bill raised an eye brow, shaking his head slightly as he stepped out into the living room with a glass of water. "y-you know she huh-hates you." he pointed out.
Beverly rolled her eyes. "Come on," she groaned. "how many of you have been to a party?" She asked the group, her eyes moving between each one of us.
I raised my hand with a smirk, feeling pride in myself. The other's gazed moved to me, though Beverly's expression was despicable.
"a party that you've actually been invited to." Beverly said bluntly, as she watched my smug look fade away, lowering my hand once again.
"your point?" Stanley said a little uneasy, as his eyes moved from me back to the ginger haired girl. For some odd reason, I wish he hadn't looked away, I never could put my finger on it but I loved the thought of Stanley's attention.
"that's it, we're going." She states in a serious manor, as he stood up with a sigh.
"woah woah woah—" Eddie's hands flew up in the air as he started to panic lightly. "do you have any idea what happens at parties? sweaty high school students drunkly walk around and either dance or screw each other, what part of that seems like fun to you? it's like a safe house for STD's, and spreading infections—" he rambled on.
"just the fact you think of it that way is one more reason why I'm going to drag your sorry asses there if I have to." Beverly raised her eye brows, as she noticed Eddie was slightly taken aback.
"Eddie's right, though." Stanley intervened, gesturing to the small asthmatic boy beside me. "it's a hotbed for disease, and anyway what do you find is so amusing about getting wasted?" He asked in disgust. I hated how Stanley always took everything so literally.
"don't start this crap again." I groaned, rubbing my forehead, as I sat up straight.
Stanley's eyes seemed to roll back into his head when he heard my mouth open. "nobody asked for your opinion, tozier." He said instantly as a lazy response, but before he could continue I cut him off.
"huh, you know I've got a question for you stan." I challenged, as his stunning hazel eyes moved back to my gaze. "why do you think every little thing could mean the end of the world? Let people take risks, make their own choices without you spoiling the fun." I snapped, leaning against the couch's arm.
