Cook's POV:
I anxiously pace back and forth in my cell, waiting for the guards to come let me out. Today's the day I can finally meet my nephews.
"What is taking so fucking long?" I ask out loud. Two guards finally come to my cell.
"Let's go Cook. You've got visitors."
"Finally." They open the door, I walk through and they cuff me. We walk to the the room and I see Freddy and Ana sitting with two baby carriers on the table. The officers un-cuff me and I half run to the table. I quickly embrace the parents and Freddy and Ana take the boys out of the carriers.
"This is Frederick Jr." Freddy hands me one baby.
"And this..." Ana begins. "Is James." My head shoots up."
"Really?" She nods. She hands me James. They really are some beautiful babies.
"I know this won't make up for the time you have to spend in this awful place." She begins. "But I'm hoping this will make it a little less shit."
"It will. It really will." I look down at James to see him staring back at me. I know I won't be able to have kids, so this is the only way my name will be passed on.
I look over at Freddy Jr. and he has Ana's eyes.
"They're beautiful." I say.
"Thanks man." Freddie says.
"How's Effy?" I ask. Ana sighs.
"She's Effy." She answers. "Putting on the brave face as usual."
"And the gang?"
"Good mate. They miss you."
"I miss them too. JJ came a few days ago actually. He's the only one that came. Besides you two, of course." Freddie Jr. starts to make noise.
"I got him." Ana says. "He probably just needs a change." She takes him and the baby bag and goes to the bathroom.
"How's the wedding planning going?" Freddie sighs.
"It's stressful." He answers. "I don't want a big wedding, but London insists that her sister has one."
"What about her father?" Freddie shakes his head.
"She doesn't think he'll come after not talking all of these years, so she won't call." Ana comes back with the baby.
"What did we miss?"
"Wedding planning."
"Oh God." Ana groans as she sits down. "My sister seems to think that just because she's an interior decorator, that it automatically makes her an expert in wedding planning. And I keep trying to tell her that trying to plan a wedding is much different than making sure the color of a couch doesn't clash with the color of a wall." We laugh. I look down at James. "He's comfortable there."
"I feel comfortable holding him."
"Let's go Cook!" The guard says. "You got kitchen duty soon." I look back at James with sad eyes.
"We'll be back mate." Freddie assures.
"I know." I hand James to his father after hugging him slightly. Ana hands me a photo of the two boys smiling. "Great picture." I smile.
"It took half an hour to get them both to smile at the same time." Ana explains.
"Cook!"
"Alright. I'm coming. I'm coming." I rise out of my seat and say my goodbyes.
After kitchen duty, I put the picture up with the rest of my pictures. I'm shocked that they named him after me. A murderer. That shows they really love me and not a lot of people care about me like that.
I'm glad I have them.
