Normal POV:
You stared at the clown who stood a few feet in front of you. He stared at you shock written all over his face. You hid your face again. "Why didn't you leave?" You growled trying to mask the evident waver in your voice. You failed. You heard him slowly walk towards you. You pressed yourself against the end of your bed. "Please...just leave me alone." You whispered feeling like a cornered animal.

LJ POV:
"Please...just leave me alone." She whispered. She seemed vulnerable and fragile...like one breath could shatter her. I sat across from her. She slowly looked up, meeting my eyes. The hurt in her eyes was evident. I kept silent trying to think of something to say. She didn't move. Just stared. "Uh...what's wrong?" I asked awkwardly. She shook her head. "I don't wanna talk about it." I saw the wall being put back up in her eyes. "But I do. It's unhealthy to hold it in." I pointed out. She stared at me, a hole in the wall inside her eyes. Giving me a peek into the hell that was her mind. "So I'll ask again, what's wrong?" She stared at me a few more seconds before opening her mouth. "I held my emotions in too long..." She explained looking at her hands as she pulled away from the bed slightly. "And that's why I screamed at her...because my emotions took over. Everything exploded inside of me. I couldn't handle it, I couldn't stop myself from screaming. I couldn't hold myself back anymore..." She explained. I looked into her eyes as she sat up and pulled her legs into a pretzel.

"What happened?" Her eyes darted up at my words. "Wh-what do you mean?" I sighed. "What happened to you?" I repeated. She looked around, avoiding my eyes. "What happened (Y/n)?" I pressed.

She sighed. "Where do you wanna start? My mom died in front of me when I was nine. And my dad thinks it's my fault. He stabbed me because of it! That's why I was in the hospital. And my step mom and sister hated me. They treated me like crap. And my dad didn't care enough to make them stop." She took a breath. "What happened to your mom?" I asked, taking advantage of her break. She took a deep breath. "We were coming home from the store. I was sitting in the back, in my booster seat. Mom and I were planning a prank on dad. She turned around to make a face at me. I giggled then I heard a car horn and I saw another car coming. I screamed." She looked down, "Next thing I knew I was beside my mom...a piece of glass in her forehead. And her mouth wide, blood dripping down her chin. I tried to wake her up...My small hands pushing at her lifeless body. Pulling at her hair. She didn't move. I heard the dude who had run into us calling, trying to make sure I was ok. I didn't answer I just tried harder to wake her up. He kept calling. Soon he had pulled me out of the car. I told him mommy won't wake up. And he told me that she was dead...I screamed that I wanted my mommy..." She trailed off, signaling she was done. I tried to remember how to form words as I stared at her. Her walls were gone. I saw her as she was. A ball of sadness, just waiting to burst. She fiddled with the hem of her shirt as I tried to figure out how to talk to her again. "How-does-I mean, do you need a hug?" I asked. She looked up at me tears in her eyes, but she shook her head. "I'm fine now. Now that I finally told someone. Thank you for listening to me." She said with a smile. A true smile.
