Riley's POV

'Mom?' I asked while eating my bowl of cereal, munching away.
'Yes honey?' Rita asked me.
'Did I ever have a sister?' I asked.
'A sister? No. Why do you ask?' She asked back, looking at me confused.
'There is a girl in school and she looks identical to me! She must be a doppelgänger.' I said.
'Must be.'
'But...it is kinda crazy how the same we look,' I said, 'Maybe I'm suffering from Heautoscopy.'
'What?'
'Never mind! See you later!' I said, swinging the door open.
'Have a good day at school, Riles!' She said.

As I walked to school, I came across Frankie again. I decided to move a little close to her, waiting for her to notice me, she immediately does and stops and I do the same.
'Hello, Riley Hallow.' Frankie said.
'Hi Frankie Gaines.' I said.
'I knew you lived on this street by I did not know you walked to school at 7:30, as I do, Riley Hallow.' Frankie said.
'I just didn't want to be late, I'm new so I have to make a good impression.' I said.
'Why? Is there someone watching you, Riley Hallow?' Frankie asked.
'No, just I do not want people to think of me as...odd, people found me weird in my old school because I was...smart.' I said.
Frankie wraps her arms around me and gives me a tight hug.
'Wow...your really strong.' I said.
'Thank you, Riley Hallow.' Frankie said.
'Why don't you call me Riley? Without the Hallow...' I asked.
'Okay, Riley without the Hallow.' Frankie said.
'Never mind.' I said, then we started walking again.

As we walked, Frankie and I kept giving each other math and science questions.
'What is pie to 1000 digits?' Frankie asked.
'Oh my gosh! I remember this...Okay! 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592307816406286208998628034825342117067982148086513282306647093844609550582231725359408128481117450284102701938521105559644622948954930381964428810975665933446128475648233786783165271201909145648566923460348610454326648213393607260249141273724587006606315588174881520920962829254091715364367892590360011330530548820466521384146951941511609433057270365759591953092186117381932611793105118548

I say, quickly.
'My calculations confirm you are correct.' Frankie said.

'Yes!' I exclaimed, 'Frankie...don't you ever get teased for being really clever?'
'No, I don't, Sepulveda High is a school for lots of intellectual people.' Frankie told me.
'I know but I am the smartest one.' I said.
'That is probably not true, I have more data stored than you, making me smarter.' Frankie said.
Data...what she some kind of...robot. Oh my god, Frankie was a machine! Some kind of highly sophisticated android.
It makes sense now, whoever created her must have not realised that their was a person who already looked like Frankie.
'Frankie? Are you an robot?' I asked.

Frankie's POV

DO NOT LIE.
DO NOT REVEAL ANDROID STATUS.

'Yes, Riley Hallow, I am a type of robot.' I said.
'Frankie...are you an android?' Riley asked.

DO NOT REVEAL ANDROID STATUS.
DO NOT LIE.

'Yes, I am. Now...I am afraid that I will have to move for sure because my Mom told me I couldn't let anyone find out and...'
'No. Technically, I am you. Surely, telling yourself isn't bad?' Riley said.
'I guess so...' I said.
'And plus, this can be a secret.' Riley told me.
'Of course but can I tell Dayton Reyes? She already knows.' I said.
'I don't think that would be advisable.' Riley said.
'Ok, Riley Hallow.' I said.
'Promise you won't tell her?' Riley asked.
'I...promise Riley Hallow.' I said.

Riley places a hand on my shoulder.
'Frankie, do you think that we could be like...sisters?' Riley asked.
'But, we are not related, Jenny Gaines is my sister.' I said.
'I get it but I have never had a sister before and...Your the closest thing.' Riley said.
'I get your reasoning, Riley Hallow. Or should I say...sis.' I said and Riley and I smiled at one another.
When we got inside, Riley and I parted ways.

Riley's POV

As I opened my locker, another boy appeared at my locker, my locker must be a hot spot for boys...

'Ri Ri, what's up?' Said Andrew.
'Hey Andy McAwesome.' I said back, teasing.

I knew Andrew LaPierre from detention yesterday, turns out that questioning the hygiene in the cafeteria and testing for bacteria is 'unacceptable' and 'rude'.

So I met Andrew during lunchtime detention, he was there for flunking math class...
Andrew was really nice, I kinda liked him better than Cole, he was more - interesting. Also, Andrew didn't think I was Frankie.

Andrew's POV

'So...are you free Thursday afternoon?' I asked Riley.
'Yeah, why?' She asked.
'I was wondering if you wanted to go out on a date, you know like...alone.' I said.

I had never felt this feeling in my circuits before and I was pretty sure I like-liked Riley, ok- I had a crush on her. She was amazing, she was like Frankie but she was less robot, more human.

'You want to go out with me?' Riley asked, closing her locker then facing me.
'Yep.'
'Okay...Answer this...if a girl kissed a boy and that girl didn't like the boy- what would happen?' Riley asked me.

Was she gonna kiss me?

'I-I don't know, I mean I g-guess he'd be confused as to why the girl kissed him if she had no feelings for hi-him.' I stutter, my motherboard must be getting over heated.

Riley came up close to my face and pressed her lips on to mine, then looked at me, blinking.

'I guess now you can figure out he answer.' Riley said, walking away.

I had just received human contact.

What was going to happen when Dad- I mean Dr. Peters, checked my files?
