"When I'm gone, no need to wonder if I ever think of you,"
I tapped my foot to the steady beat, murmuring the lyrics quietly.
"The same moon shines, the same wind blows - for both of us,"
My eyes flicked over to two strange passengers getting into the compartment, but I paid them no heed. Stretching, I still sung the lyrics perfectly, my dark chocolate hair covering my left eye.
"And time is but a paper moon; be not gone..."
I decided to stop my singing, looking over at the two new boys who joined the carriage moments ago. One of the boys, the shorter one, was staring at me intently, and I averted my gaze, blushing lightly.
He definitely heard my singing, didn't he?
"Uuuh... Hi?" I greeted, almost like a question, my voice raising in pitch nearer the end. The boy shook his head slightly, as if he was trying to get a thought out of his mind.
"Oh, err... Hi. My name's Edward. Your's?" He awkwardly attemped to spark a conversation. I sighed amusingly, one corner of my mouth raised upwards.
"You're not from around here, are you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Xing." I stated simply, my eyes trained on the countryside outside the window, watching it rush past. Sometimes I wonder if people outside, viewing the carriage that hurtles past, will remember that train passing by their house at 3:00 with the green coat and the silver wheels.
Thinking about it - I probably wouldn't remember a name of a small village that the locomotive shot past, only stopping there for less than a minute, before setting off on it's journey again, so how could I remember a few townsmen that I barely saw?
"Your eye colour isn't Xingese." The boy - who I have now dubbed 'Mr Dipshit', mockingly stated.
I twitched slightly, a vein bulging on my forehead. "Oh, really? Thanks for pointing it out, I never noticed! Thank you for enlightening me on the colour of my eyes! Anyway, your eye colour isn't Amestrian, little bitch."
"DID YOU JUST CALL ME SO SMALL THEY COULD BE CRYOGENICALY FROZEN BY A SNOWFLAKE, SQUINTY EYED EASTERN SHIT?!" Mr Dipshit yelled, startling the one in the armour. I gasped. And also I might of slapped him.
He winced, rubbing the red mark. I smirked, knowing that it'd turn black and blue in a day or two.
"I... Was a bit harsh." Slowly, the shorty admitted defeat, recognising his mistake. I sneered more, raising an eyebrow.
"Damn right." I leered. "Maybe we should introduce ourselves like this never happened." I suggested, sheepishly, scratching the back of my head. "I'm Yun Bai, and you?"
"Edward Elric, and-"
"Alphonse Elric." Both brothers stated, cheeks wide and lips pouted. I paled. Apparently, he was the person sent out to... subdue a famous theif, so to speak. A.K.A me. I tried to smile, the grin a little to lopsided and toothy, and my eyebrows raised slightly.
"Oh, really!" I exclaimed, a little too perky for me. Oh god, you can see the light fading from my eyes! Oh Truth, help me now! Please, save me from this torture...
Okay. Perhaps I was being a tad too melodramatic. After all, I am the famous, uncatchable thief, The Ghostly, right?
"You've heard of us?" Ed smirked, pointing his thumb at his smug face which looks so punchable, oh my god. Kill me now.
"Yeah!...'" I faltered through gritted teeth.
Goodbye cruel world.
"Uh-huh, brother's so famous." The armoured guy enthusiasticly nodded.
Whyyyyyyy... I don't wanna lie to them - Especially Mr Tin-Can over there, he seems so sweet.
Soon, the whistle blew, and the conductor shouted, "Stopping at East City! Don't forget your bags! Stoping at East City!"
"Oops, my stop!" I said with an abnormal cheeriness. "Gotta go!" I pathetically grinned, getting up and speeding past the many rows of seats that lined the carriage.
"WE'LL MEET AGAIN!" I yelled over the many passengers bustling about to leave the train.
"YOU SURE?" Edward shouted back, cupping his palms to each side of his mouth, but I was rushed off too quickly, and was shoved to the exit.
Stepping out, I finally reached the town of East City, the home of one place which would accept people like me. The Underground.
