CHAPTER 14:
Gracie pulled me up on my arm and dragged me downstairs.
“Guyss, this girl needs a drink.” My jaw slowely opened. “Who on earth made you think that I needed a drink, I’m not even 18 .. and if my parents s-“ I stumbled on, then Gracie covered my mouth with her hand. “But your parents aren’t here, so I don’t see the problem. Besides, it’s only one drink.” That’s true, I think my parents left us after hearing us sing. Maybe they went for dinner or so. “Just one then. Then I need some sleep.” They chuckled, while Sophie grabbed 4 glasses from the cupboard and Claire came back with a bottle of vodka. Thank you Claire, thank you.
We took just a couple of shots, when my head starting to dizzle. “Guys, I’m out. I have a plane to catch tomorrow early.” They glanzed at me in surprise. “You are what?” Oh wait, I haven’t told them yet. “Oh whoepss. Yeh Harry bought me a plane ticket to fly out to Italy to see him. I – I forgot to tell you.” Whereas I smirked. Still can’t believe he did that for me. “Aaaaaaaaaaaah Ems how cute is that!” they all started squiling and screaming. “How late does your flight track off? I wanna coooommmmeeeeeeeeee.” Yeh, maybe we should have done one less shot. “Euhmmm, I believe Harry said I had to be there at 11ish to check in, and he called a cab aswell. So I’ll have to leave her at 10:30ish I think.” “Have you packed yet?” Sophie asked, watching me with her big eyes. “No, I didn’t. Can you guys help maybe?” I didn’t even finished my sentence whereas they were already upstairs searching through my clothes. “Omg, Emsss. Why do have you all these cute clothes?” I smirked. I didn’t like my clothes, they were just, normal I think. “Okay, so Italy means sun, means shorts and dresses.” I heard Claire thinking out loud. “I’m only going for 3 days, Harry told me not to bring to much guys.” Three heads appeared from behind the door. “WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY NOT BRING MUCH. You have to look decent and cute and ugghhhh, so many things to bring!” Silly girls. “Okay, I’ll grab a bag, it has to fit in there.” As I walked upstairs to grab my old weekendbag. It’s blue and white, a bit worn out, but still cute. When I came downstairs again, I sorted out everything and pulled it together. Afterwards we decided it was for the best to just go and get some sleep. Glad they weren’t mad at me for blowing up the girls night.
I plugged in my earphones as I walked up to the plane. I searched for my seat, to be found next to a window. Thank god. There was no-one sitting in the chair next to me. Also thank god. I fastened my seatbelt and closed my eyes. In only just three hours I’d be in Italy, seeing my gorgeous boyfriend again. Can you imagine? I slowly fell asleep.
I shivered as I opened my eyes. I felt a little bump underneath me, then nothing. The plane just landed. I rubbed my eyes and started to collect my things. I looked in the reflection of my phone, to find out that I looked absolutely horrible. Just what you need.
As soon as I left the plane, I put on my sunglasses. I was wearing light skinny jeans, a simple white top and a grey knitted cardigan wrapped around my shoulders. With my bag in my hand I made my way over to passport control and soon after to the arrival entrance.
The last thing I needed was a someone who was gonna scream in my face for a reason. Massive headache, maybe one drink too much. As soon as the door slid open, a pitching noise came out of their mouths. I looked behind me to see if there was someone famous, wait, are they screaming because of me?
I held my breath for a second, before finding a pair of hands grabbing my waist from behind. I felt my body heat up and soon as a little peck landed in my neck. I turned around, only to stare into the beautiful eyes I missed so much. “Haaaaaaarrrryyyy!” I swung my arms around his neck as he pulled me closer. “I missed you so much.” Before kissing me on the lips. Another squealing sound come from around us, but it slowly faded away. Now it’s just me and Harry. I pulled away, only for a few seconds. “I missed you too beautiful boy.” Then kissed him again, causing another scream. He took my bag in his left hand, and tangled my hand in his other. “Let’s get out of here, my ears are hurting!” I smirked. “Sure”, and I followed him to the main entrance. A black van was waiting for us outside. Harry threw my back in the back of the car, and settled himself next to me when I sat down in the car. His arm around my shoulder, as I let my head rest in his chest.
“Why are they even here?” I looked up and giggled. “Are they here for me? And how do they even know?” Question hour. “I may have accidently tweeted about picking you up from the airport.” He smiled as his cheeks coloured a little pink. “O my Harry, why on earth. I look like a complete mess.” I tried my best to pull a sad face. “You look beautiful. And besides, everybody is allowed to know that I’m picking up my gorgeous girlfriend from the airport.” I looked up to his eyes. “You cheeky.” I said before he pecked a kiss on my lips.
I let my head rest on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. Gosh, I missed that sound. I felt my eyelids get heavier by seconds, and soon enough they were fully closed. Though I’ve never been in Italy and was excited as hell to see everything, the flight and the excitement full exhausted me. Hope Harry doesn’t mind. Oh well.
I felt someone softly shaking my shoulder, followed by something soft landing on my cheek. I peeked out of one eye, followed by the other. “Hey beautiful, we’re here.” Then kissed me on the lips. “How long have I slept?” I asked, rubbing my eyes. I didn’t made any effort this morning to put some mascara on, knowing it would be everywhere but on my eyes by the time the plane would touch Italian ground. Anyway, rubbing my eyes wouldn’t make a difference in my appearance. Which was horrible, as much as Harry told me it wasn’t. “For an good hour I think, the whole drive anyway.” “Oh shit, I’m sorry.” I looked up to his face, where I found a huge grin on his face. “What?” “Nothing babe, it’s fine. You look gorgeous when you’re asleep.” Cute. “I missed watching you while you were asleep.” “You used to watch me while I was asleep? You creeper.” I smiled. “Yeh, and the view was amazing.” “Ooooooooooooh! The view. Smooth change of subject, Em, smooth change. I forgot, we’re in Italy.” I jumped up out of my seat. “Haha, you silly.” Harry smiled. The excitement was already running through my blood once I realized. I almost knocked myself over when I jumped out of the car, stunned by the view. It was absolutely gorgeous. Smashing. Such typical houses whose only exist in your dreams, yeah I was literally looking at it. Picturesque, surrounded by coloured flowers and cute blue window frames. Like I said, s-m-a-s-h-i-n-g. “Oh my goshhh Harry.” I whispered, feeling his hands slip onto my waist from behind.
“It absolutely gorgeous, I- ..” Words were hard to find to describe. “I know babe, it’s pretty amazing.” I could just nod. We stood there for a good 3 minutes, then snapping into real life. “Oh wait, my bag.” I turned around and walked over to the car. Poor driver, stood there waiting for us. “I’m sorry it took so long. It’s amazing here!” I said with a huge smile on my face. “Don’t worry miss, and yes it is!” He said in his great Italian accent. Gotta love the accent. “Anyway, thanks for driving us.” As I handed him a little extra tip. I’m in such a good mood, unbelievable. He drove away as I made my way back. Harry took over my bag, and took my hand to lead me towards the house. He opened the door, and as soon as he dropped my bag in the hallway, I heard some screams coming from the, what I assumed, living room. I opened the door, causing a loud noise. “EMSSSSSSSSSS, YOU’RE HERE!” Niall was the first one who came up to me, pulling me into a huge hug. I laughed. “Elloooo there Niall!” I hugged the other boys as well, they were all squealing and jumping. Typical.
Turns out the house has a living room, a huge kitchen, 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, laundry room and a massive, by which I mean MASSIVE pool. Absolutely gorgeous. And that only for three days, as they stayed in a hotel in the city when they had their signings and stuff.
After lunch the boys decided to stay home and still by the pool. When they insisted on a game of volleyball in the pool, I friendly thanked them, causing them to fall apart from laughter. Yeah, my accident was still fresh in their mind. I pampered myself with a new bikini just before this trip, a blue-white striped bikini from Hollister, which is adorably cute. Anyway, I lay down on the stair next to the pool, listening to their screams and doing a bit of napping while that. The boys came separately to check and talk for a bit, which was really nice. I missed them lot really much. Harry came once in a while to make sure I used some suncream, which I often forgot. I know, 45 minutes in the sun and HELLOOOO I’M A FREAKING LOBSTER. Kind of annoying. That’s the dark side of being English I guess.
Around 5ish pm, Harry and I decided to go to the local supermarket to stock the fridge with. I would be cooking dinner for the lads tonight, since they’re not really capable of doing it themselves. I went for a good old pasta dish with Bolognese sauce and a fresh Italian corn salad with tomatoes and mozzarella. First smashing thing about Italy, the food.
I know it’s cheesy to say, but the fact that I could held Harry’s hand and him giving me little kisses once in a while is something I miss most when he’s away. Cause, gooddddd, he’s a good kisser. “I’m glad you’re here babe.” I looked up to him, with a smile on my face. “Yeah, me too, I missed you.” I buried my face in his chest.
