We whisper behind each other's backs
We call each other
Strange, odd,
Freaks of nature
And we forget that we're all the same species
We can be the kindest,
Most caring species on Earth
And the most cruel.
We spread lies and hate,
We discriminate,
For what?
We've been taught to share.
We share the same air,
The same planet,
The same basic DNA that runs through each of our veins.
We should share not just oxygen,
Not just Earth,
Not just body code,
But kindness, respect,
Compassion, and love,
Like we all deserve just like we deserve to live.
Sorry that this is half-trash; I'm currently traveling out of my town and I'm really tired from a long drive. (It's almost 1 am here.)
Love you anyway! Much love from your traveling, tired author :)
