Crystl arrived in the second layer of the Death Verse in a flash with the use of his portal. If he hid in the first layer which was just below the Kingdom of Death, he would've been found out immediately. The second layer, although not as vast as the first, was a more suited hiding spot still. He found a perfect spot were the cannibals could never reach. There were a lot of these spots but he chose one that was difficult to detect.

The second layer was typically dimmer than the first layer. If the first layer was always at afternoon, the second layer was always at twilight. When he was already able to settle, he decided to try and recover important pieces of his life as a reaper and the circumstances that messed him up. He did some researching though. But when it came to remembering, none of those things helped him even a bit and he stayed clueless, until time started to pass by...

A reaper was able to locate his hiding spot and decided to pay a little visit. Nymbus Livanne, one of the 12 major leaders, and one of the 4 god slayers. She was entitled as the "Reaper of the End of the World" and she had the power to reshape Death Verse and anything on it to her liking. She had a light skin-tone and was fair-skinned. She had long dark hair and eyes with a signature long white bandaged hairline indicative of her status as a god slayer. She had a cunning look on her face especially her slightly narrow eyes.

"Cyrrus Crystl," she called, "I am Nymbus Livanne and I mean you no harm. Would you please show yourself to me? There is no point in hiding for I am the one that designed the shape of this universe."

"It seems that I have no choice than to come out, Ms. Architect." Crystl cautiously went out of hiding. "I did my research anyway. Are you here to fight me?"

"I said I meant no harm," Livanne carefully approached him. "I'm just here to thank you..."

He stared at her confused, "Thank me for what exactly?"

"For what you did to Caine," she touched his face. "I heard that you lost your memories. Knowing Lord Voix, I immediately suspected him when he told me about it when I asked about you. Of course, I can't just tell him unless I had proof."

"I got a dreaded feeling that he tampered with my memories," Crystl sighed. "You were actually telling the truth about not harming me..."

"Did you just use a weapon against me?"

"I used a lie-detecting laser gun that would instantly shoot you in case you were lying to me."

"I'm on your side," she touched his hair and reshaped the air into a white ribbon as she wrapped his long hair in front. "A god slayer needs to have this ribbon just like the crowns worn by the royalty."

"This will take time to get used to though..."

"It doesn't really match with your already white hair but," she molded a black bead and attached it at the tip of the ribbon, "this will make you look better."

"Thank you," Crystl smiled. "Although I need to ask you, why were you so happy about what I did to Caine?"

"The way he acted and looked at me, I felt as though I was being molested from top to bottom." She sighed, "It made me feel uneasy working with him every single day. Speaking of which, I have a copy of the memory you showed the entire kingdom. I hope it could at least bring back some of your memories."

"Let me have a look if you don't mind," Crystl gladly obliged.

"I have watched it three times already," Crystl sighed, "and yet nothing came back to me. At least I found out who the enemies were."

"You are definitely strong," she remarked. "I would be lying if I didn't ask you to prove your worth and the only way to prove it is through battle..."

"For a moment I thought that I would be spared for a battle," Crystl motioned away from his base. "I thought we were allies already..."

"We are allies," she smiled at him. "I just want to get to know my ally better. Think of it as a sparring match..."

"I'll have to warn you," Crystl faced her, "I'm invincible..."

Livanne grinned, "So am I..." and then she changed her mind, "I think none of us would win because, let's face it, you are the second most powerful being I've encountered so far aside from me with the first being the Supreme Beings."

"So we are not going to fight," he sighed in relief.

"I like your style, kid." She approached him, "you haven't lowered your guard even now and I see something special in you and so I officially accept you as one of the 12 major leaders and as one of the 4 god killers."

"Thank you," he shook hands with her, but she hugged him instead. "I don't wish to be rude but I need to go back before they locate me..."

"I'll help you with that," she handed him a new map layout of the second layer. "I will change the layout of this floor to keep them from discovering your location so you'll need that."

"I'm going then," he morphed his legs into accelerators and left.

"What did you do, Nymbus?" Asked a dark reaper awfully familiar with her, "Why did you reshape this layer?"

"It is my duty to protect the criminals against the cannibals and the best way to do it is to relocate them away from this layer, any doubts?" she gave him a cold stare. "You should address me properly, Claad."

Claad is the god of light and darkness. He is tall and dark-skin toned, with buffy body parts and trimmed mustache and beard. He always carries with him an ax. He's got a huge ego because of his high IQ and a huge hatred for those who are laidback. He also hates those who don't agree with his terms.

"Is that so?" he started to have a bit of a doubt. "May I ask you... have you met the new god slayer?"

"I haven't," she grinned, "but if I do meet him, I will welcome him because I had nothing against him and I agree to what Lord Voix announced earlier."

"Is that so?" he groaned. Then he thought about him being in the way between him and Livanne. "How did it end like this?"
