Sophie's Pov

Of course! This had to be my Aunties house, dad was always going on about how we would see auntie Caroline more often when we moved to Devon, he had never mentioned how big her house was though!

I was secretly hoping that this really was our house but it couldn't be? Could it? We couldn't afford this type of luxury!

As we stepped inside I noticed that the house was empty this could mean only one thing... this WAS our new house!

I was so shocked but my stomach filled with butterflies which usually happened when i was excited.

Before running to choose our bedrooms we waited for Mum and Dad to tell us which room they had already chosen for themselves , of course it was always the biggest, but today they just gave us the signal to go straight up! Joe and I gave each other a quick look the began to sprit for the stairs!

Joe's POV

I had to come up with a plan to let Sophie give me the bigger room she always got her way whenever we competed for other things because she was the older child, but when it comes to who can get the biggest room I ALWAYS WIN!

Then it clicks! My birthday was coming up in a few days, and not just any birthday my 10th birthday! DOUBLE DIGETS!

We both sprinted up the royal looking staircase that spiralled up to the top of the house and I yelled at Sophie trying to explain why I should get the best room and telling her it wasn't any ordinary birthday, but I think she had heard all these excuses one too many times and was beginning to ignore me.

As we made our way to the top of the, what i now liked to call, Royal Stair Case, we both stopped there were endless rooms and massive corridors we didn't know where to begin!

We peered in to a couple of rooms and so far we had decided that the room at the far end of the corridor was going to be a gaming room!

Size was no longer a problem, it was trying not to get lost in this... This mansion!

Sophie's POV

We finally chose our rooms and mine was and on-suite , just like joes but mine looked out onto the garden, It was the middle of summer so all the flowers had blossomed and there was a brick pathway enclosed in roses and several other tall flowers looping their way over the metal frame that was placed to hold them up.

At the end of the path was a small bench, perfect for sitting down and writing some of my story I had been working on, it was about a boy who traveled the world aimlessly!

There was a large tree that Joe and I had found and thought would be the perfect shape to construct a tree house on !

The house was perfect and the perfect end to the day was to have a bath in my on-suite Bathroom with a Lush Marshmallow scented bath bomb!
