Valentines Day

It seemed every year Baroness Von Bon Bon sat in her room crying with chocolate beer on Valentine's Day. In hopes of getting drunk so she could forget everything that's happened on that day. Once she did have a crush on Beppi buuuut he's with Djimmi, so when Baroness decided to go outside they were the first thing she saw. Before she had breakdown, she grabbed the case of chocolate beer and ran to her room. Being the Candy Queen of the Carnival, she was wearing a peppermint striped jumpsuit, long sleeved but cold shoulder. The right arm ended in a red stripe, so she had a white glove on. The left ended in a white stripe so she had a red glove on.
Knock knock knock
"I'm coming!" She yelled from her bedroom. She had stopped crying, but still a few occasional tears fell. When she opened the door, a man about a foot shorter than Baroness stood there. "Oh, hey Cuphead." She said almost drunkenly. "I wanted to make sure you were okay. I was around and happened to notice when you almost broke down in your doorway." Cuphead said sweetly.
She moved aside from the door gesturing for him to come in. "Sorry..." Cuphead said while following Baroness
around the castle. "For what, you did nothing wrong." She said questioningly. "For hurting you to get a soul contract." "Cuphead you're still worried about that! That was almost a year ago!" Baroness replied giggling. "I've got some chocolate beer, you want some?" She asked Cuphead sweetly. "Elder Kettle said I shouldn't drink alcohol 'till I'm 21." He said almost sadly. "How old are you?" Baroness asked. "Uhhhhhh, 18." "Perfect! Technically an adult. You're free to do it if you want." She said hoping he would say he did want the beer. "I've got some Fireball, Whiskey, Smirknoff,-" Cuphead cut her off. "Did you say Smirknoff?!" He asked eagerly. "Yes and here you go." She handed him the bottle and went to get her beer. "When I saw you out there, I kinda thought you only needed a friend. I'm on this island a lot and no one really seems to come here specifically. So, you are okay, right?" Everything Cuphead just said to her made her wanna start crying, again. "Yea I'm okay. I'm just glad you stopped me from drinking myself to death." She replied sweetly, realizing she had just told someone what she tried to do. "You tried to drink yourself to death?" He asked clearly worried about her. "No not really. I tried to make myself drunk to forget Valentine's Day, but I've done it so I might as well be." She said and examined her beer bottle before setting it down, thinking she had enough beer for one day. "How long and why have you been doing this?" He asked Baroness. "Well my parents sold me and older sister for drinking money when I was 5 and she was 10. She had been taking care of me until my thirteenth birthday party. Her birthday was a week before mine, so she was already 18 and decided she wanted to try bring drunk. It didn't end well at all. She used the 10 empty Smirknoff bottles to beat us senseless until someone called the cops. She was taken to jail and I haven't really seen her since. All my friends left except Cala Maria and Hilda Berg. They stayed back to comfort me, I was crying my eyes out. Beppi and Djimmi really hated me after that, they got together the day before my 14th birthday. The day before Valentine's Day. Sometimes, I wouldn't start drinking until late. Only if I didn't see Beppi and Djimmi together, but every time I look out my window they seem to be there. No one would care if I was underage drinking, no one was there to care for me. So I had some of my older and more irresponsible friends bring me some of their alcohol. I decided to keep doing it, it's not like anyone remembered my birthday. Valentine's Day became the day I regret everything I've done. Regret still being here, regret ever loving Beppi, regret living this life I lead." At this point Baroness was crying her eyes out. "Baroness," Cuphead got on his knees to reach Baroness who had slid down the wall. "Y-yea?" She replied crying in between. "Happy Birthday." He said and kissed her sweetly. When he released Baronesses face was a crimson red hinted with pink. "W-What was that for?" She asked her voice shaking. "Well it is your 19th birthday, I had to give you something special." "I-I you a-ahh y-youre the first person who's ever done that f-for me." Baronesses tears had returned once more, but this time tears of joy. "Thank you Cuphead!" She exclaimed and pulled him into a tight hug. "Come here I wanna show you something." She said as she started running somewhere. "Wait up!" Cuphead yelled down the hallway. Baroness stopped causing Cuphead to run into her and fall over. "Up here." She said as she pulled a string that released a ladder. Both climbed it and looked up. "Isn't it amazing, the best view of the moonrise in the world." Baroness said admiring the full moon. "Yea that's pretty awesome." Cuphead said watching the moon slowly come up. "Have you ever seen anything so beautiful?" Baroness asked him. "Yes actually." He replied and turned her so she was looking at him. "You Baroness, there's a reason I fired as little bullets as possible." Her face was fiery red and hot pink. She looked as shocked as anyone would when winning $1,000,000. "C-Cuphead, are you s-saying you like me?" She asked hoping he was. "Yes Baroness, that's exactly what I'm saying." He replied and kissed her softly. Eventually, she gave into his warm lips and soft touch, and returned the kiss. When they released, Baroness was the first to speak. "Soooooooo are we?" "Yea, we are."
