Okay here's Chapter 2. Also. Anastasia is pronounced Ana - stah - sia, not Ana - stay - sia.
Skye POV
“Ugh, Do I have to come?”
“Yes”
“Really?”
“Yes!”
“Come on, Aid. I’m tired.”
“We’ve been sleeping all day Skye”
“Yeah well, sleeping tires me out”
“Anastasia Skye Tate, do not make me set Blair on you!”
I groaned. Threatening me with Blair was a low blow. “Fine. Just so you know, Aiden, I hate you”
“Love you too”’, he called from outside my room as he walked away. I sighed and flopped back on my bed. I had spent the last 3 hours punching the shit out of a practice pad, and trying to get a certain pair of eyes out of my head. It wasn’t working. We were supposed to go out and celebrate yesterday’s epic win, but all I wanted to do was obsess over those stupid, beautiful eyes. This was getting ridiculous. Perhaps I did need a distraction. While I was contemplating actually going, Blair and Lyanna barged into my room, dressed to the nines. B let out a gasp, “I knew it! I knew you were going to try to get out of this. Get your ass up. We’re finding you a dress.” And Hurricane Blair was at it again. I looked at Ly, pointedly. She mouthed the word ‘Aiden’. I glared at the door. I was going to kill Aiden.
Blair and Lyanna looked amazing though. B was in a dress which was the palest shade of peach. It was sleeveless and cinched at the waist, and was poofy from waist down, and ended right at mid thigh. She wore matching heels. Ly was in a red bodycon of the same length, again, with matching heels.
Suddenly I felt a piece of fabric being thrown at my face. It was pale lavender, slashed with shimmering silver material. It floated down to mid thigh length from a shimmering lavender beaded bodice. I remember buying it for a dance that I didn’t end up going to. It was a beautiful dress. I was shaken out of my reverie by Blair. “Go put that on, along with the shoes I bought you for Christmas. You’re lucky your hair is pretty much perfect, and the curler doesn’t need to be used excessively”. I blinked at her. She glared at me, annoyed, “Go!” I scuttled away. Jeez. For someone so tiny, B can be really scary when she wants to. I put on the dress and my heels. They were shimmery and grey. Kind of similar to a certain pair of eyes I had seen a few hours ago. Dammit, Skye! I wanted to punch myself. I was obsessing over eyes. Eyes. I hadn’t even seen the guy’s face. I probably never would. Damn, I was going to get smashed today.
After Blair quickly curling a few parts of my hair, and the guys letting out low whistles of approval, we all got in 2 different cabs and headed for Sapphire, which was one of the most exclusive clubs in town. We knew the bouncer, Ray, from back at the fight club.
Eric hit the dance floor almost immediately. Blair, Nate and Aiden followed suit, after asking me if I wanted to come. I told them I’d dance a little later. Lyanna and I headed to the bar. We ordered 2 Margaritas.
“You took quite the hit yesterday. How are your ribs?”
She smiled, “Sore, but I’ll be fine. That redhead was fierce, but her kicks were sloppy”
“I noticed. That move you pulled was awesome though.”
“It was awesome enough for that douche Covalo to try it”
I clenched my jaw. Glen Covalo was on my shit list. Ly laughed. “Chill, Skye. All he has to show for it is a broken wrist and a wounded ego” I nodded. After a few minutes of comfortable silence, she spoke up again, “So are you gonna tell me what’s got you so distracted since last night?”
