We're currently standing in this slow line to get our lunch. I grunted to myself as I lean on the wall. " Everyday is torture " I said. Daisy grins at me, looking over at the boys' area. The boys are always lucky. Even their line to take the food is short because they're fast –unlike these picky girls who take too long to get their food.

I'd skip eating –like I always do, if it's not because I'm running out of money. I have to wait until this weekend for my parents to give me some. I tap my feet and sigh in annoyance. Daisy bumped her shoulder with me. " Chill out, Suzy " she said, grinning happily. I raised my eyebrows. Then, I looked over to the boys' area. As expected, Daisy's favourite guy in this school, Tate Rose is taking his food. Daisy could pass as a his number one admirer for how much she knows about him.

I chuckle. How nice to be as cheery and positive as Daisy. Even when this school brings us so much burden to us, she can still find happiness in all this by having a crush on this guy.

My eyes flickered to the guy behind Tate when he finally moved out of the line after taking his food.

" Oh?" Daisy suddenly said, seeming to catch it too. She looks up at me, who's slightly taller than her. " That's the guy you asked earlier this morning " she said. I stare at that guy intensely from afar. Daisy smirked from beside me. " What's up with you and him? You haven't tell me " she whined.

I turned to her and smiled wickedly. " He's my soulmate " I said, jokingly –but I guess my voice sounded like I was serious because Daisy hung her mouth wide open as she looked up at me. " What? " I asked, oblivious.

" You seem so unlike you, just now " said Daisy. I laughed " Why? "

" You never realize you're too egoistic for your own good around the people you love, don't you? " she said, rolling her eyes. I was slightly taken aback by it, but wasn't hurt. It just gave me a slight nudge to reality of myself. I glance to the side when I noticed the line is moving. I walked further and the line stopped again. I glanced back at the boys' line to notice the guy who appeared in my dream is gone.

" Are you offended ?" Daisy suddenly asked, noticing that I've gone quiet again.

I scrunched my nose at her. " NO " I denied. She smiled " Hehe "

" But seriously though, what do you mean by he's your soulmate? " she asked. I laughed. She can't be taking this seriously, isn't she?

" That guy appeared in my dream last night. " I said. " Therefore, I think we're destined to be together " I said, exaggerating my tone to make it sound as childish as her giggles. I'm actually having fun playing along with this.

" What??! Really??! " Daisy suddenly got excited, she even started clapping. I pulled her hands down and told her to hush because the girls around us are giving us judging glares.

" That's good though " Daisy said quietly. " Huh? " I asked.

" He's a nice guy. I know it " she said, smiling sweetly at me. I know that look. I sighed. " I told you not to bother about it. I'm fine breaking up with him. It's my fault " I stressed. She pouted . " Fine, I'll stop talking "

I nod curtly and turned to the front. The line moved again.

That evening, I followed Nana to her basketball practice because I feel bored doing nothing in the dormitory. She threw the ball at me and we began passing. I played basketball before but I stopped because I can't keep up with the practices every single day.
