"YOU'RE ADOPTED BY OLI SYKES?! FROM BRING ME THE HORIZON?!" I screeched down the phone, making my voice go all high-pitched and girly. Eww, yuck. I didn't normally do that, but talking with my bestest friend in the whole wide world for the first time in ages, might just be an exception.
"I KNOW, RIGHT?! IT WAS PROBABLY THE BEST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. WE TALKED AND TALKED AND IT WAS GREAT. HE WONDERED WHAT BANDS I WAS INTO AND OF COURSE I HAD TO SAY HIS AND HE SMILED. HE FLIPPING SMILED!!! AT ME!!!!" Even though I was really intent on catching up with Jemma and she was my best friend, I ended up not listening due to the fact that she was just screaming the entire time and saying the same things. Things from 'Oli Sykes adopted me!' to 'he has an amazing house!' to 'thank god I look like him!' I couldn't blame her though, I was exactly the same. And to be honest, she did sorta look like him. The same long black hair and hazel eyes. The same lanky, tall figure. I wouldn't be surprised if someone stopped them in public and asked if she was his actual daughter. I listened to her rambling on and smiled. She was finally happy. And free. I needed to see that grin of hers that I had always missed. "Jemma, why don't we arrange to see each other?" I asked, accidentally interrupting her.
"Yeah! But when?"
"I don't know. But not tomorrow, it's Monday tomorrow."
"Yeah..... I'm starting school." She sighed, obviously fed up of learning.
"Same here. Which one are you going to?"
"I don't even know. I don't want to know. It'll be horrible like the rest of them."
"Come on, you don't know that."
"I do." She persisted, so I gave up.
"How's Oli, anyway?"
"He's good, he's just doing a band practice at the moment. I might go listen."
"Okay, well, I'll see you later then. Just text me when you want to meet up." I sighed, hating having to end the conversation,
"Okay. See ya!"
"Bye Jemma." I pulled the phone away from my ear and clicked on the red 'End Call' button. I miss her so much it hurts, but I was happy knowing that I'd see her again. Hopefully, soon. I put my old Samsung phone in my back pocket and stood up from where I had been sitting. My legs and feet now had pins and needles, making them shaky and indicating I had been sitting there for at least 50 minutes. I stretched before padding up to my room. Patrick, Joe and Andy had disappeared somewhere while I was on the phone so I had some time to myself. When I opened the door to my room, I saw Tucker sleeping peacefully on the floor next to the bed. "Tucker," I laughed, "you don't have to sleep on the floor! You can come up here with me."
He yawned and turned his head towards me, after opening his sleepy eyes. He stood from his sleeping position and pawed at the bed, giving me puppy eyes. The name 'puppy eyes' really fits right now. "What? Can't you get up?" I cooed, teasing him a little. I picked him up very carefully and stroked his golden fur, admiring how soft it was. "Hiya." I said as he looked up at me playing with his ears. He climbed onto my lap and put his paws on my shoulders, so our faces were at the same height. He pulled his tongue out of his mouth and dragged it across my face, making me giggle and wipe the saliva off of my face. "You silly puppy." I chuckled, then placing him on the bed on my pillow. He curled up and snuggled into it which made a grin break out on my face. I lay down next to him and closed my eyes, suddenly aware of a tiredness I didn't realise I had. I wrapped my arms around him in a circle shape and hugged him close to my body, his presence finally sending me off to sleep.

I woke up with Tucker tangled in my arms, snoring softly. He's such a cutie. At first, I struggled to get out of his surprisingly strong grip, but I eventually loosened his paws wrapped around my torso and stepped to the side of the bed. I tugged at the sheets beneath him and made him roll on to his side facing the wall. He stirred in his sleep at that so I stood as still as I could, not wanting to wake him. Once I was sure that he was fast asleep, I changed my clothes (a guns and roses t-shirt, black skinny Jeans and black firetrap boots) and left the room to go downstairs. On the way, I must have tripped over my feet more than a dozen times. Sleep does that to me. I stalked to the kitchen and took out the first thing I saw in the fridge. A half eaten burger and a bag of cold chips. Yum. I chucked the left overs in the bin and went back to the fridge, grabbing the second thing in sight. A takeaway. Why do we not have anything other than fast food? I grumbled and exited the kitchen, heading towards the living room. When I reached the doorway, I stood still and listened out for any noises coming from the boys upstairs. It was eerily quiet. I strained my ears for a moment, just in case of any sound in the house, but was left with a creepy silence. Panic and worry immediately washed over me so I sprinted up the stairs to all of our bedrooms in three giant leaps and checked everyone's rooms. On the first left was Joe's room. I clicked open the door and peeked in, my eyes quickly spotting the figure on the bed. I sighed in relief and went to check the other rooms. Soon enough, I had seen into all of their rooms and found them all sleeping peacefully. I exhaled quietly, kind of urgent for air after a breath I hadn't even realised that I had been holding. I stood in the corridor for a bit, contemplating whether to go back to bed. I decided against it and checked the time on the clock that was hanging on the wall at the end of the hallway. It read 02:58. I stalked back into my room and thought about the day to come. And that's when it struck me. I have school.

Ugh, what joy.
