Chapter 3

Darren pov

I have spent what feels like 2 days in my room planing. My father has stopped by my room like ten times checking on me. I just ignore everyone who tries to get me out of my room. *Knock Knock* "Go away" I say to whoever is outside my room. They apparently didn't listen cause they enter anyway. "You look awful bro" ugh my sister says and I still don't want to see or talk to anyone. "Hey don't just give me the cold shoulder, I'm here to help you" she says. "No offence sis but I'm in no mood for help" I finally answer.  "Come on bro, seriously what got you in suck a bad mood." she says then gasps and asked "were you rejected?" I sigh and then say "look it's complicated." She looks at me funny, "rejection and loss  is the only thing to put wolves into moods like this." "I don't want to talk about it because it's my business and you wont understand" I reply.  She sighs and looks around my room. She stops walking near my desk. "No don't read that!" I shout why sitting up to try and stop her. "Is  this one of dads supernatural books?" I sigh and look away from her, "and a vampire one at that but why? What's up?" she asks. "It's none of your business, now get out of my room!" I shout a bit angrily. She sighs and then she noticed my notes and letters on the desk when she puts the book down. One fell on the floor and she picks it up. "No don't it's jus-" "Bro is this a love letter?" she asks cutting my off. "What are you going to do if it is?" I ask a bit curious and worried. "Well if it is then let me help you write it, I mean I am a girl after all" she answers. I can't believe I am doing this, "okay it is, so help me please?" "Of course brother" she replies while smiling at me.

She helped me write the perfect letter along with the perfect ideas on how to connect with my mate. I'm just glad she thinks my mates a wolf. "Thank you so much sister" I said and hugged her super tight. "It was a pleasure brother" she hugs me back, "that's what siblings are here for, I shouldn't be the only one happy" she says smiling at me. I smile back and escort her out of my room to get some of the plans into motion. I go to head to my car but stop by the kitchen to grab an apple for the road. "Oh my goddess you're up and out of your room" my father says. "Hi dad, I'm just heading out for somethings an-" "Please tell me you're finally out of your funk?" he asked cutting me off. "Of course father and I'm going to work on connecting with my mate." "Oh really, that's great son. Go on, go." I nod to my father and grab one of the apples and head for the door. I was lucky to get out and heading to the mall without getting stopped again.

With my arrival at the mall I headed to a department store that sold all these trinkets for like all holidays. I was there to grab a few little stuffed animals and then I was going to head to the sweets department store to place a special order. "Hi there, welcome to Tony's Trinkets, how may I help you?" the shop keeper asked. "Hi, do you happen to have any more stuffed supernatural and/or animals?" I asked. "Of course we do, most animals are in the back corner with all other stuffed toys" he said. I nodded to him in understanding and made my way there. I found this perfect wolf that was white as snow with big bright blue eyes. I also grabbed a nice looking vamp doll who matches the look of my beautiful mate. The clerk checked out my items and said that I made a great choice. With my bag of trinkets I headed to Steven's Sweets next. "Hey welcome, what can i do for you?" the worker asked. "I would like to place an order for a box of chocolates please." "Oh so is this a special order?" he asked and I nodded. "Okay and what is the order?" "A heart shaped box of assorted B dipped chocolates?" I say but it came out as a question sort of. "Um like the V kind always pick?" he asked back. I nodded and he smiles "so this is for a special lady, you are putting this close to spring. How did you get on your soulmates bad side?" At that question I figured out this store clerk is a vamp. "I just had a small argument" I replied. "Ah an easy fix, well I wish you luck." "Thanks can I have this done like super quick?" He looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "How quick?" "Say a couple of hours" I answered hopeful. He smiled and said "I'll see what I can do." I gave him my number to call when its ready and headed to the flower shop in the mall. When I entered the store a lady said "Hi there, welcome to Lilly's Flowers how can I help you?" "I would like a bouquet of lilies and pink tulips with lilacs please." "Sure, just a minute" she replied and when in the back to make my bouquet.

After I paid for the flowers I was rereading my letter to Silvia that my sister helped me write. Once I was done reading it I was smiling like a goofball but that changed when my phone rang. "Hello" I answered my phone. "Hey dude your chocolates are ready" the clerk said on the other line. "Great, I will be right there. Bye" I said and hung up the phone. I ran to the store as quick as I could. I thanked him as he handed me my box. On my  way out of the mall I decided to make one more stop somewhere before heading to Silvia's place.

I parked my car by this stream and ran to the place I went to only once before. When I got there I just chilled by a tree waiting patiently. "well, well, well, do my eyes deceive me or is that Darren chilling there?" I chuckled and nodded "yeah it's me Jack, i'm here cause I had to speak to you." He sped down from the tree to in front of me. "Alright what about?" he asked. "Where's Silvia living?" He gave me a are you crazy look, "please dude, I have to show her how I feel" I said with the best pleading face I can. He smiled, nodded, and pat me on the back. "I got you dude" he said. "Thanks man, my cars this way, come on."

He drove me to where the house is and it is beautiful just like her. It was a nice little log cabin in the woods. It looked like it has been there forever and like the woods were untouched. I took a deep breath to try and calm my nerves. "You got this dude, go impress your lady." I just nodded my head and got my stuff. I headed to her door and set everything up. When I was happy with the setup I changed and knocked on the door.

Silvia's pov

Ever sense that day at the mall I have been mopping around. I am so upset knowing I will never have a family. Everyday Mackenzie has stopped by and has removed any and all things I could use to end my life. I keep asking her what's the point, my life is worthless. She left early today because I haven't been out recently to get any new things. Maybe I can start skipping meals and make it seem like I'm not. It would be a horrible way to die but one I could try to hide from Mackenzie. I have been just laying on my bed contemplating on why he had to be my soulmate. All off sudden there was a knock on my door. Uh, who could that be? Not many people know where I live.

When I get to my door I unlock it and open it. I gasped at what I saw, there was a doll and a stuffed dog behind a box of chocolates and behind that was a wolf laying down with his head down giving the best puppy eyes he could muster and nudged a letter in front of his paws. I don't know what to think about all of this. I pick up the letter slowly because I was scared the wolf would bite me. When I opened the letter I heard a rustle. The letter said 'Dear Silvia, Your the girl of my dreams, the light of my world, and the best thing to happen to me. I love you even though I barely know you. I was scared just like you are now. What I want to tell you know is that we can get through this. Please love, be with me, run away with me and lets start our future and life together away from the grand council. What do you say my sweet and beautiful Silvia, my mate and lover?' After I read the letter I looked down and saw the wolf was now sitting in front of me with this beautiful bouquet of lilies, tulips, and lilacs. He was whining softly at me. "I'm sorry but this wont work." He whined louder and tried to get me to take the flowers. I took the flowers and smelled them. Lilies are my favorite flower and I loved them. I went to look at him again but he was rubbing on my leg lovingly. I frowned and said "The flowers are lovely, the stuffed dolls are sweet, and the box I'm assuming are chocolates which is so thoughtful but" he seemed to be smiling at me "but look at you, your wolf and I'm a vampire, it won't work." With that said I grabbed his gifts and went back inside and locked the door.

Darren's pov

I can't believe this, she still said no. My heart hurts so much that I just want to lock myself in my room again. No Darren, we must try again tomorrow lets be ourselves and see if you can take her to the place father told us. Are you sure about that Rollin? Yes Darren it's another chance and then see if you can get Jack to get Mackenzie to talk to her about this. Alright Rollin we will. This is plan B and I hope it works cause I can't take much more rejection Rollin. I know Darren I know. I took Jack back to his home and said "thanks for the help dude" with a frown. "No problem man, I just wish Silva was more open minded" he replied. "Hey could you see if Mackenzie could talk to her about being open minded about my offer? I plan to try again and do something else tomorrow." "Sure man, no problem. You and Silvia deserve each other and deserve to be happy. You're a great guy." I smiled at him and he smiled back. He left and waved bye to me. I drove home and eminently my sister asked how the plan went. "Not well sis but I have a plan B and I need to do this one on my own." "okay bro but please don't shut yourself out again, you can get through this. She will come around when her wolf starts to talk some sense into her human self" she said and smiled at me. I gave her a small smile back because all this would kill their hearts if they know she was not a wolf.
