Elizabeth's P.O.V.
The rest of the ride is spent in silence. The only sounds are the rumbling of the engine, my fiddling with my necklace, the steady drum of Bucky's fingers, and Rose's soft snoring.
When we get their, I carefully take my jacket off and make a pillow out of it. I rest it under her head and pull a blanket out of a compartment and drape it over her limp body.
Bucky grabs a gun as Steve opens the hatch. Now you open the hatch, I think to myself. "You remember that time we had to ride back from Rockaway Beach in the back of that freezer truck?" Steve asks.
I smile, remembering the memory. "Was that the time we used our train money to buy hot dogs?" Bucky chuckles. "Yeah, but it wasn't the first nor was it the last," I giggle. "You blew three bucks trying to win that stuffed bear for Lizzie," Steve laughs.
"Yeah," I laugh, "and I ended up winning it for you." "I did win you a gold fish," Bucky defensively says. "Yeah, because you had experience putting things in holes," I say, doubling over in laughter. "Had?" He asks, offendedly. "Yes, had," I laugh.
I sober up and Steve says "He couldn't have been her more than a few hours." I nod in agreement. "Long enough to wake them up," Bucky tells us. "You ready?" He asks us. I nod as Steve says "Yeah." Bucky turns to look at me and says "Stay behind us." I stare at him like he's grown a second head.
"Which one of us has more kills in HYDRA history? In world history?" I ask. "You're rusty," he tells me. My eyes widen as this new found anger take shape within me. Within two seconds I have Steve pinned to a wall and Bucky on the ground, groaning in pain. "How about you stay behind me," I say, walking off.
I step one foot off the ramp and scream. Not loud enough for Rose, but still loud enough for them. I turn and look at them. "I-I don't know what's happening," I say, before it goes black.
Steve's P.O.V.
She pins me to the wall and has Bucky on the ground in pain within two seconds. "How about you stay behind me," she says. She puts one foot on the snow, making a crunch, when she lets out a scream. I watch Bucky as he makes sure Rose isn't awake to see this, then stands up.
She turns to look at us as she says "I-I don't know what's happening." One of her eyes is purple and the other is her normal blue, before her eyes go black, then close. She collapses to the ground as Bucky runs to her and I'm released from my hold.
I run to her and we roll her over. I check for a pulse as Bucky says a quick prayer. "She's still alive, but her pulse is weak," I tell him. He stands and runs onto the jet before coming back out with Rose. She sleepily runs her eyes as she asks, "What's going on?"
She's grown. She looks about seven now.
She looks just like Liz. "Do you have electricity as a power?" Bucky asks hurriedly. "Yeah, why?" She asks. "Shoot your mother with it. Before you object, it will save her life," I say. "Shoot her right here," I say, pointing to her chest. "Ok," she says without further hesitation.
