{Lance memories; Eighth-Nineth grade summer. Takes place in Cuba. All dialouge will be in English, but they're all speaking Spanish/Cuban(?)}
Lance woke up to his mother yelling at him. Honestly, it made him shookity shooketh. Partly because his mom had a wooden spoon with her at all times.
The teenage boy got out of bed, lazily. He kinda wanted to test how long his mom could hold back her anger. Then again, it couldn't be that long.
He did his morning stuff, then changed into more modern clothing. Then he walked out of his room, stepping down the hallway and into the dining room. Slash, living room.
The boy casually stepped into the dining room, sitting at the table. He recived a scowl from his mother, and several eye rolls from his sisters.
Lance raised an eyebrow, "What's going on? Did something happen?"
His mother pointed to his hair with her spoon she was about to use. "Your hair! You actually combed it?!" She questioned.
Lance nodded, eyebrow still raised. "Yeah? What's wrong with that?"
His mother rolled her eyes, "What's the occasion, my boy? Are you going to the store with your friends?"
One of Lance's young sisters, Alexia, jumped up. "Does Lance have a girlfrienndd?" She teased, grinning ear to ear.
Lance turned red. He covered his face with his hands.
His siblings burst into laughter, while his mom glared at every one of her children. "Quiet!" She commanded. As if on que, every one went quiet.
Mother McClain then looked at Lance, "Is it true, my boy? Do you have a girlfriend?" She asked, her voice frighteningly calm.
Lance slowly looked up. He nodded, slowly.
"LANCE! HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN GOING ON FOR?! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?! OH, MY BOYS GROWING UP." Mother McClain would've fainted right there if it weren't for young Julian McClain to go calm her.
Lance was about to say something. He was interrupted by several knocks on the door. Shoot.
Immediatly, both Lance and Mother McClain rushed to the door. Of course, his mother made it first. And she was greeted by a young teenaged girl, long dark brown hair and eyes.
"O-Oh! Hello, you must be Misses McClain? I've heard so much!" The girl greeted, slightly frightened by the tensed up Mother McClain.
"Miss. I'm not married, has Lance told you?" His mother questioned, sneaking a scowl at her eldest son.
The girl shook her head, "N-No. I just assumed you were a married woman. It would be difficult raising a large family, wouldn't it?"
Mother McClain gave a heartwarming smile. "Thank goodness someone understands! Come in, come in." She stepped out of the way.
"O-Oh. Mom, we were planning on heading out. To uh, ride horses. Play soccer, and possibly go shopping." Lance stepped in front of the door.
His mother scowled. Her expression softened, "Fine. You better be back by the latest 5 pm!"
Both Lance and the girl nodded. "Oh, and by the way. My name's Kimberly, it was nice m-" Kimberly was interrupted as Lance practically ran out of the house with both himself and her.
Kimber stumbled after him, "Ah, Lance! Slow down, Long Legs!" She laughed.
Lance came to a stop, "Yeah yeah. Sorry. I uh.. didn't expect your first meeting with my mom to be like that." He laughed nervously.
Kimmy giggled, "It's alright, baby. I don't think any of us did." She smiled as she leaned up on her toes and planted a kiss on his cheek.
The boy smiled, "Right."

It was now 3:30 pm.
Lance and Kimmy were now on their way to the town center. To get there, atleast with a shortcut, they'd need to pass by their middle school. They wouldn't be going there anymore, since they were soon moving onto their freshmen year.
In the distance, they heard some laughing, joking, and talking. Lance huffed, 'Not these guys..'
Just his luck, it was 'these guys'. And, of course, they spotted the couple.
One male pointed at the two, "Aye! What are you doing over here? This is our side, not yours." He joked, grinning.
Lance rolled his eyes, "Let us through, Alejandro."
The male, Alejandro, ignored Lance. He simply shoved him away.
Kimberly went to go help him. She was stopped when Alejandro wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her close to him.
Lance, now on the floor, glared at the male. He wanted to stand, but he couldn't.
Alejandro grinned, "Hey baby, watcha gotta say? Why don't we make it you.. and me?~"
The two phrases echoed in Lances mind. Continuously, not stopping.
Alejandro smirked, leaning in to kiss Kimberly.
That was it.
Lance stood, hands balled into fists. He stepped to Alejandro, and it all happened in what seemed to be one second.
Lance punched the male, causing him to stumble back.
"Kimberly, just go to the bakery!" Lance told.
Kimberly knew what he meant. The keyword, bakery, meant the Icecream shop. So, she began running.
Alejandro and Lance's eyes met. Then, the two swung their fists at each other.

A/N : Woah. I haven't updated in s o long.
This chapter might've been rushed. But hey, 870+ words.
Basically. this is a big event that happened in Lances 5/6 years in Cuba.
Don't worry, Alejandro and Kimberly should end up being important later in the story.
