My sun glasses, perched high on the bridge of my nose, pinching it slightly.
My hair cascading down my shoulders protecting them from the little rays of sun that happen to get past my umbrella.
I'm wearing a dress. A long flowery one, one of my favorites that ends just above my ankles. The heavy door of the 'Adam's Manor' creaks loudly, then finally closed on its own. I squinted my eyes towards the retched sun and opened my umbrella. Lifting it and resting it at the curve of my shoulder.
I stepped off my cobble porch, my boots 'clicking' and 'clacking' against the pavement. I sauntered about with my umbrella, twirling in slightly humming a soft tune, gazing around.
The world was busy today, here in Toronto. Cold, but busy. A group of joggers in hot pink sweat suits passed me. The smell of their sweat lingering in my nose.
A small family wondered out of our towns one of five restaurants laughing and cracking jokes. I walked across the town of Ridgemont not really paying mind to anyone or anything around me, just trying to make it to my destination without getting staked in the heart.
I gazed at an old man watering a basket of dahlias in front of a flower shop. He looked at me, and smiled. I smiled back, my smile vanished. He doesn't deserve my smile, I feel like I plagued him with something. I regretted going outside today, he doesn't know how dangerous I am, he doesn't know how many people I've killed, yet he smiled at me.
I brushed that altercation off and continued to walk. I made it to the big steel gates and swung one open.
I slowly walked up the grass and looked around until I found what I was looking for.
A large head stone, cracked and withered. Covered in vines sprouting little purple flowers. The grass around it dark, but damp like it had just been grown. I huffed and sat down in front of it, crossing my legs. I ran my cold fingers along the engraved letters.
"Vespertilio, 1431-1476, vivere magna rex" I read a loud.
