It's Halloween. 3 am, to be exact, the house is crowded, alive with energy. The smell of all those teenagers made me nauseous. The bodies bumping and grinding on each other while 'the monster mash' played in the back ground. I cringed.
Kids, of all shapes and sizes where having a good time, dressed at farmers, ghostbusters, Jasons, and gouls alike sipping from spiked punch cups. I was ready to be done with it. I heard the music a few hours ago when I was having a hot bath. I flew 4 miles, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, and I was sorely disappointed. Parties aren't really my thing. I just wanted to have fun on the only night out of the year that I get to be myself on. So I showed up, ruby red eyes, long sharp fangs and everything. I even brushed up on my Pennsylvanian accent for when someone would ask me what I was supposed to be. But no one did, and I wanted to go home.
I was halfway down the foggy street dodging little kids high on candy when I bumped into a figure.

C O R E Y

I turned my head for a second thinking someone had said my name when I collided into a figure sending it flying. I rubbed my eyes adjusting to the street light. A rosy smell filled my senses, and the second my eyes landed on her figure I knew what she was. A vampire. But she enticed me. She looked different than all of the other vampires I've encountered. She was small, but looked evil (in a good way) she had a smoky look in her eye. When she fell her hair flowed against the current of the wind. Her dress flowing, the fog swallowing her. With a gasp she fell, beautiful. I thought. Her nose rose to the air and her eyes grew wide, she searched the street until her eyes landed on me. I darted forward to help her up but she got to her feet and disappeared off into the night, leaving only the moon and my confused self in her wake.
Her scent still lingered and I took deep nose fulls of it before it was gone. I replayed her face in my mind, and the look on it when she saw me.
I've got to find that vampire.
