So the cover is kinda incomplete and pretty generic but damn it I came to Wattpad to write stories, not photoshop art. I'll get to fixing up the cover when I get to it.
Things could not possibly get more worse than they already were. At east that' how Eliza felt as she leaned against her locker in despair in that early 8:45 am morning. Eliza sighed and pretended to be busy looking for something in her locker as she saw Brandon Gonny walking down the hall with his equally stupid friends. At one point, having their lockers so close together seemed like a miracle of possibilities and opportunities. Now it just seemed like a painful nuisance. Eliza then sighed. She figured as long as she didn't see his dumb face again, or har his stupid name, she'd make it through at least another day.
"Hey Eliza, how was that movie last night? You look pretty bad. And I heard about Brandon. Sorry about it."
Eliza's best friend, Rene, stood there in her 5'8 tallness and gazed at her shorter friend with her large blue eyes. She looked carefree as she fidgeted with her charm bracelet.
Usually, Eliza would be happy to see Rene. After all, their chemistry had been building up enough since seventh grade, and now up to their senior year."Ugh, don't mention his name...wait a minute, you know what happened?" Eliza felt herself cringe.
"Well, I kinda know a version of what happened, a version that Brandon told his friends at least." Rene looked careful, knowing that Eliza was in a sensitive place right now. "He sorta told his friends that you got all prudish and wouldn't have sex with him. He's telling people that he like, paid for your dinner and took you out but then you were rude to him. " Her eyes tensed up. "And stuff..." Something in Eliza's stomach dropped in anxiety."
"You mean he...?"
"Yeah, Brandon is telling people that you were a total tease. That he turned you on and you guys did foreplay, and right when he was about to shove his egg roll in, you told him you weren't into it anymore."
Eliza's petrified gaze was locked into place. What was worse? Being called a slut, a tease, or a prude?
"Fuck, God help me..." Eliza hissed under her breath.
"So what actually happened?" Rene questioned.
"Well," Eliza slammed her locker closed in frustration loudly, drawing a bit more attention than she meant to. "We were at the arcade on sixth street, don't ask, it was his stupid idea. You know I hate video games. Well anyway, I went to the bath room, the public one, and his ass followed me. What a creep, yeah? The stalls were otherwise empty, lucky for him. He went directly into a stall with me. Dude. And then he made his "move"--we didn't do anything. I didn't tease him. Tat weirdo was rejected the moment he put his hand on my hip. Well this is where it gets fuzzy. I pushed the stall door open and there stood one of the stupid girls from his fan club in home room. Well, that's not fair to say. She's not his fan girl, but she's a friend of one of them. I think she had a crush on him anyway, though." Eliza explained.
"So he got caught being a creeper and he made up a cover story to make you look like a teas-y prude. " Rene concluded. "Such bull shit."
Eliza sighed. "Great, not only is my best friend moving away, but my reputation is ome where between bath room slut and prude."
"Well, I know I'm moving, but we'll still be in contact. And as for your reputation? Our senior year is almost over. So I wouldn't even worry about that. It's really nothing to worry about. Whether it be slut, tease, or what ever. " Rene comforted.
"Why does none of that make me feel better?" Eliza asked.
"Hey Eliza, if he had succeeded in seducing you, like, if you were liking it and all, would you have done with him?"
"What? No way." Eliza felt her soft brown eyes go wide with disdain. "I would never do it with that guy." Eliza hissed.
"Hunh? Really? But you liked that guy for months. " Rene pressed.
"Ermm--yeah. But I didn't love him." Eliza's voice softened. Her pale skin reddened to a blush. She looked quite embarrassed.
"Haha, so pure."
Eliza's face formed a unfriendly smirk, as if to signal a don't-mess-with-me vibe. Probably in the same way a cat fluffs up its fur to send off a threat.
"But hey, it's okay. I wanted to do the same thing. " Rene said easily, as if jumping back. "I don't know if I'll wait till marriage, though. Most guys will leave you if you hold them out THAT long. " She sighed. "But it would be nice."
Eliza frowned. "Do you think it has something to do with the girl?"
Rene blinked. "I mean, most guys are just horn dogs, girl regardless."
"Yeah, but I heard Brandon say something a few months ago. He told his friends that if a girl was absolutely perfect, then he'd be willing to wait for her. But on our first date..."
Rene looked as though her breath was caught in her throat.
"Eliza! Don't take Brandon's dumb opinion to heart. He's just an idiot. You know?" Rene opened her locker and put something inside.
"There are other Asian guys in the world you know. Imagration is at all time high in the US, I'm sure you can find at least one guy if you wanted. Hell, you're a pretty girl. Maybe you could have a whole reversed harem. "
Eliza huffed, not believing anything that Rene was saying. Especially the part about her being a pretty girl.
"Those are mostly Mexican immagrents, what can they do for me?"
"I dunno. Mow your lawn." Rene guessed.
Eliza grumbled something incompatible to Rene's ears, so she just had to improvise at that point.
"Well, we can still catch up after school and do something fun. I know, let's go to that sushi eatery place. Let's find you a good Asian guy, unlike that Brandon bitch." Rene smiled.
Eliza was going to object, but before she could, Rene bounded down the halls and toward her class room. Only then did she realize that the bell went off over her head.
I'm gonna be late to class. Eliza grabbed her books as panic filled her chest. She rushed through the hall ways and bolted toward the door, only for it to be shut right in front of her face. Shame, really every one knew that once the doors closed after the bell went off, they were locked until that period was over.
What will I do if I get caught skipping? Better question, what can my parents do? Ground me? It's not like I go anywhere.
Eliza huffed as she walked into the bath room stall. She pulled out her phone and typed a message to Rene.
𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘪𝘮 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘳. 𝘪𝘮 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘥. 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦?
Eliza then opened the door's stall just a crack and caught a hint of her own reflection in the mirror across the room's tight space. She then opened the door very slowly and caught a quarter of her face. And then she swung the door completely open to see the whole view of her smell face and her wider than preferred body frame. Her small pink lips frowned at herself gently. Generic dark colored hair. The same could be said for her eyes. Eliza supposed she had a slim nose, and she was pretty sure that was considered an attractive trait. But that probably didn't matter since the rest of her features around her nose were't so great. A sigh so deep erupted itself from Eliza's mouth that it must have rumbling in her throat.
