-Lukas-
I sat on my couch with a newspaper. I notice that two teenagers have gone missing. Their parents were devastated, one of them had talked to their daughter's friends, but they said she passed out and then dissapeared when they came back with the police to help. A picture of her was put with the story, a beautiful young lady.
--<<[Time Skip]>>--
I crawled up the stairs to my bedroom closet and grabbed my grey hoodie. It looked nice with a black and blue shirt. I looked through my closet for that one hat I always wore on midnight walks.
After three minutes of searching, I found it. A dark blue fedora. Always where I put it. Finally I grabbed my locket and wrapped it around my neck. "Nice night for a walk."
I opened my window and crawled out. This window is on the far side of the house, near the hills. I always leave a bag at the base of the house for when I go walking, but I decided to leave it this time.
As I walked through the thin line of trees separating the town and the hills, I messed with my dark red dyed hair. Once I reached the first hill I looked up at the moon. Still full. It's been full for three nights, this is the fourth night. It seemed closer tonight though, almost, like I could touch it.
I reached out to grab the moon out of the sky, and somehow, I touched it. It was smooth and bright. Then I noticed a star, almost as close as the moon, I could grab it too. This feeling, able to touch these objects, was thrilling. I held onto the star tight, trying to bring it to earth. I had weighed it down enough to set it on the ground.
Suddenly I heard fast footsteps coming toward me. I put the star back into the sky just as the person ran up to see me. He was panting. "Who-- what-- is your name-- sir?" He spoke between breaths. "Sir" I liked that, but he will most likely call me by my name when I tell him. That's just fine though. "My name's Lukas. Who are you?"
"Right. My name, let me tell you it once we get to the base."
"Base?"
"Yes, haven't you heard of the disappearances of those two other teens?"
"Yes."
"That's where they are. Now let's go already special one, Lukas."
What did he mean, "special one"? I liked it, but wh-- what did it mean?
"You coming Lukas?"
"Huh? Oh, oh yeah. Just a sec."
"Ok."
After the mystierious person was out of sight I ran back to my house, grabbed my bag, ran back and pulled the star out of the sky once more. I put that star into the empty bag and carried it to where the boy went. He was waiting for me, and when he saw me he motioned for me to follow him.
We walked along the edge of the trees until we reached a hill with a tunnel dug into it. "Here's base. Don't share it's location."
"I won't, I promise."
"Ok then." He went first into the tunnel then me. There was a door there, he said it was too heavy for anyone to open except special ones, like me. Confused at that I looked into the bag at the star, was this how I was special?
