I'm the only child my parents have, but believe me when I say that I have sisters. My girls Alanna, Melanie, Leah, and Serena have been there for me through it all.
I grew up with those girls. I met Alanna and Melanie when we all were in first grade. Then came along Leah and Serena who joined the bunch in the years that followed.
Sometimes I think it's so amazing that we've stayed friends for this long.
We all go to different colleges and sometimes it's hard getting together, but we always try to find time to be with one another.
I'm grateful for the friends and family I have.
I mean I'm Cassandra M. Tyler. I can be hard to deal with at times.
By the way, please call me Cassie, Everyone calls me that

"--Yea, I know who this is." Leah said as she put out her hand. "Hey, Thomas. How you doing?"Thomas shook hands with Leah. "Hey, what's up."
I turned to face him. "Thomas, this is my friend Leah." He simply nodded.
So, Thomas is basically one of my guy friends from my school. He's a senior. We met through mutual friends, and eventually we ended up talking everyday. I remember the day he asked to get my number and I just felt like flying over the moon. He's walked me home from time to time and he's a pretty cool guy. He's a skater boy and I love skater boys. He's even agreed to teach me one day. If it isn't already obvious, I have a little school-girl crush on him. Okay, you broke me. So I have a huge school-girl crush on him, but I already know he just sees me as a friend. I hate the harshness of reality.
"So Thomas, what brought you here this morning?" Leah asked him curiously.
"Well Cassandra asked me to hang out with her today. I didn't know she was bringing a friend."
"Neither did I." Leah said while eyeing me a little. I acted as if I didn't notice.
"Well the more the merrier I always say." I clapped my hands together and smiled. I don't always say that. To be honest, I knew Thomas was coming over, I just thought Leah would've left by now. You see, she slept over at my apartment last night and I was kind of hoping she would be gone by the time Thomas got here so we could be together.
"Thomas, would you excuse us for a second," I said while pulling Leah in the direction of the kitchen. He mumbled a 'sure, whatever' and walked back over to my living room, where he got himself comfortable on the couch. I quickly turned my attention to Leah who had a very pissed off, yet annoyed expression on her face. She folded her arms across her chest. She was mad alright. She only does that when she's mad.
"Um....I love you!" I said to Leah while flashing her a big toothy smile. I opened my arms to get her a hug and she denied it.
"Seriously Cass, today was our day and you know that!" She protested as she stamps her foot on the shiny hard wood floor.
"I know Lee, but he sent me a text and we started talking and then he was all 'Maybe we should hang out sometime.' And I was all 'Sure when?' And then he was like 'How about tomorrow at your place.' And I was all 'That's cool' and he was like 'cool see you tomorrow.' And I swear I forgot you were sitting on my bed wining about your sad non existing love life." I rambled out fast.
Leah just cocked her eye brow up at me in confusion. " How could you possibly forget I was sitting right front of you?"
"I don't know, when I text people I just completely go deaf."
"Got that right." She sneered. Her face then contorts into a shocked expression. " What did you say about my love life?"
"I uh...coming Thomas!" I said while laughing and running out of the kitchen and into the living room.
"Oh okay Tyler, I see how you feel. " She said while walking upstairs. I also could've sworn that I heard something along the lines of 'chicks before dicks" but hey, I could be wrong.
"So..." I trailed off after flopping down on the couch next to Thomas. "What do you want to do?" I asked.
"Well I thought maybe we could--"
"Is it too late now to say sorryCause I'm missing more than just your body
Ooh, Is it too late now to say So-!"
Justin Bieber song out, cutting Thomas off, symbolizing somebody was calling my phone. I was a little embarrassed. I love Justin Bieber and he doesn't, man I felt beyond awkward.
"Excuse Me," I said before answering my phone. I didn't check my caller ID. "Hello?"
"Cass I need your help!" An oh so familiar voice said on the other line.
Leah.
"Lee, why are you calling me when your right upstairs?" I asked a bit annoyed.
"I need your help!" She repeated with a giggle.
"Well what's the problem?"
"You see, I have no Idea where my phone is?"
"Leah can I slap you?"
"No, why?"
"You're talking on your phone right now!" I snapped.
"Oh... You're right! Sorry, I didn't interrupt anything important, did I?" She giggled again.
I sighed trying to contain my anger. "No. Now I'm hanging up. BYE!" Now you see why I wanted Leah to go home?
I tossed my phone on the couch. "You know what, let's go outside" I suggested.
"Sure," He said while getting up. Yeah, Thomas doesn't say much unless he's mad about something. We went outside to my backyard.
~~~25 minutes later~~~
"LEAH!!" I screamed while running in the house soaking wet. She somehow tip toed outside and turned on the sprinklers.
I heard her running upstairs laughing her ass off.
I swear when I get my hand on her I'm gonna kick her a-
"Hey Cassie, I gotta get going. I need to get out of these clothes." He chuckled a bit.
"I understand." I said, a little upset that he was leaving. "Maybe we can hangout another day, but next time we're going to your house."
He laughed. "Fine by me."
I walked him to the door, we hugged and said our Farewells.
After shutting the door, I went to face the source of the problem.
Leah.
I barged into my room to find her laying on my bed on her laptop. Oh now she wanna work on her ethics paper that due next week. She looked up at me.
"You look horrible" She said, trying to keep herself from laughing. I could imagine.
My hair deflated and wet. My make up running down my face, and not to mention I'm shivering a bit.
"You couldn't give us one hour alone?!?!"
"I got bored." She shrugged. "Face it, you had it coming, so basically we're even."
"Whatever..."I walked into the bathroom to get myself cleaned. I had to bite my tongue before I used so very colorful words that would hurt Leah's feelings
In all honesty, that was nothing compared to what other things my friends have done to me. But I love them.
And forever I shall say that I'm amazed we've all stayed friends for this long.
