With the threat of war on the hidden leaf, a certain Hyuuga prodgity found it hard to fall asleep at night, but eventually gave in to tiredness and slept.

When he eventually woke up he found himself looking at the sky, it was a beautiful scarlet and the sun was strange it was rising really fast really, really fast he furrowed his brows in confusion then a figure blocked out the 'sun'.The figure was easily identified by her hair, brown and tied into buns one on each side of her head, that was the style she had kept for as long as he could remember.

"Tenten?!?" He asked with curiosity "NEJI!!!" Tenten cried with joy as she embraced him with a strangling hug "tenten w-what? w-where? w-why am I outside?" "Neji your inside" Tenten said with tears streaming down her eyes onto Neji's arm which was severely burnt and the pain made him wince in pain. "What do you mean, 'inside' I can see the sun?" Neji explained, "no Neji that's, that's Hokage mansion..." "WHAT!" Neji tried to get up but found himself in unbearable pain and looked closer at Tenten who seemed to also be in pain still crying not of pain or beacuse of the village, but her training partner and best friend, has been impailed by a large mess of steel that is firmly implanted in his stomach.

When Neji noticed this he started to look into tentens eyes, remembering all of the fun they had had when they where smaller and how much of a jerk he was. Neji's thoughts where disturbed by small sobs coming from Tenten as she cried the sobs turned to screams as Neji's world slowly became dark he could only mutter "(argh), I guess this is a very 'grave' situation" that was one of the few jokes Neji told. ever. alway trying to cheer Tenten up when she was sad usually with huge success but not today. as the life left Neji's eyes Tenten could do nothing but watch in horror of her best friend die in front of her, and let the world know "AH!,AH!,AAAHHHHHH!" Tenten screamed as she held the body of her dead friend in her arms, she closed his eyes for the last time and grieved his death.

She saw the world and imagined how he'd seen it the world in his view. It had been months since his death, the funeral was really formal and most of the Hyuuga clan didn't really care about his death but the side branch along with Hinata where devistated by the loss. Hirashi was quite happy that Neji was gone, bastard.

Training was pointless training with Gai wasn't training at all, and training with Lee was out of the question. All Tenten could do was revise her weapons and lay on the forest floor crying, wishing that he would come back and be with her. Tenten started to fink of ways to bring him back like edo tensei but couldn't bring herself to move his remains, she wanted him to appear to her and finish that last sentence spoke, but there seemed to be no way to bring him back.

1 YEAR LATER

"I'm back" "huh!, Naruto? What are you doing here?, have you finished your training already!!?"Tenten asked "sure have! But I gotta go meet with tsunade first" naruto explained "well, ok but you should call her hokage" "yeah, whatever anyway I haven't seen Neji anywhere, I came to you since you where his closest friend, everyone avoided the topic like it was taboo" there was a long pause and tenten looked gloomier as she lifted her head to look into narutos eyes. Her face looked like sasuke's "hmph" face ( which was his face pretty much all the time) she parted her lips and spoke in a monotone voice which gave naruto chills knowing just how happy she was all the time and to speak like that can shatter souls, she said "Neji's... gone... " naruto scratched his head in confusion "ooooh... He must be on a long mission say hi to him for me when he gets back" naruto started running to Hokage mansion and Tenten sat down looking to the empty seat next to her where Neji and her first exchanged a decent conversation and back then it was hard to get him to say two words but she got him free of his anti-social habits. The tears Tenten was holding back burst to the surface 'Damn you naruto, and I just got over it to'.
