"Y/N-ah, you should go home and sleep now." Taewon told you as you emptied another mug of coffee.
"No. I'm alright."
"Get up or I'll start dragging you out."
You gave him a look. You've been searching for Seoyeon for a week now. You're trying your best to let Mario live the way he used to before Seoyeon disappeared.
"You're one stubborn girl." Taewon said wrapping his arms around your waist.
"YAH! PUT ME DOWN!"
He picked you up and carried you on his shoulder out of the cake shop. He carefully put you down on the seat of the cake shop's delivery car. You were about to push him so you could go back when your phone started ringing.
"Yeoboseyo!"
"You were the one looking for Kang Seoyeon, right?" The caller asked you.
"Ne."
"I know where she is."
You listened to the caller. After hearing everything, you looked at Taewon. You're still trying to process everything you just heard. After the call ended, you turned to Taewon.
"We're going to Jeju tomorrow." You told him.
"Ok."
"Do you think Sojin can handle Mario?" You said referring to one of the cashiers.
"Mario is a good boy. He won't cause any trouble. Watching over him is like watching a sleeping dog, a really cute dog." He said making you smile.
"Dog? Really? Anyway, thank you for going through all these with me."
"Anything for you and for Seoyeon."
The next morning, you asked Sojin to look after Mario until you return. You were about to leave with Taewon when he came running to you. His eyes are sad. He is sad.
"Where are you going? Are you going to eomma? Can I come with you?" He asked you.
Taewon knelt down. "Uhhh. Mario-ya, we can't bring you with us. Just stay here and wait for us, ok? Be a good boy!"
"But, can you promise one thing?"
"Sure! Anything!"
"If eomma doesn't return, be my dad."
Taewon glanced at you before smiling at Mario. "Of course. But, I'm sure she'll be back so don't worry, ok?"
"Eomma told me that too when the police took my father." Mario said looking down sadly.
"Don't you trust me?"
"I do."
"Then, cheer up and believe me when I say she'll come back, ok?"
He replied with a nod. After that, you left for Jeju. You have Seoyeon's exact location now. All you need is to go there and talk to her.
