Scene1

The scene starts with Kamla entering the house follow by kalpi.

Everyone stopped to turn their heads, as they watch the birthday girl.

Vitthal sensing something was wrong, touched kalpi shoulder.

He turned her around and asked “where were you kalpi?”

 Not saying anything she looks at her mother with no expression.

Vitthal smiles and said “I was so worried; you should have told me where you were going.” 

The dupatta from kalpi head was coming down and you could see the sindoor on her head. Kamla panicking turned of the light. Vitthal could see the tension in her action very clearly. He asked “what’s going on, wont you tell me.”

Kamla hesitate then said “I’m fine vitthal.”

Vitthal stares at Kamla and signs. “Ok... Fine”.

He watches Kamla and kalpi walk to the kitchen and thought something is not right with kalpana; I think their hiding something from me.

Scene 2

 

Raghav came home; he was very excited because now kalpi is his wife. He promised that he will make sure no one can come between their love, not even Kamla, because today he made kalpana his wife in front of gods. No one will be able to separate them now.

He was going to his room when he saw paki sleeping on the dinning table. He comes to her and shook her shoulder. He recalls what happened today when kalpi hugged him and all the moments they had together.

He looked at paki and said “Happy Birthday” then walks away.

Paki, fully awake smiles then says “Raghav remembers my birthday”

Just when she was about to go see him gauri walks towards her. She looked at paki with disgust and said “you are useless as usual, I told you to clean the whole house, instead of you doing that you’re here sleeping.”

Paki tried to explain but gauri wouldn’t hear it, she walked away from her before her temper gets worse.

Scene 3

 

Kamla is sleeping with Kalpi. She looks at her and cries making her tears fall on Kalpi’s hand. Kalpi is up but she pretends to be asleep. The truth is she couldn’t sleep, what happened today was over-whelming and emotional. She couldn’t get the image of Ai wiping the sindoor from her head and her words to her.

Flashback

 

 

Kamla takes her out. Kalpi says no. Kamla says “you don’t get it kalpi”.

“This sindoor is not a pure relation. It’s a sin. Just remove it”

. Kalpi says “no Ai I won’t.”
