Half Way There [Anakin Skywalker]

Summary: You and Anakin have been fighting and arguing a lot, so you decide to get marriage counseling.

POV (Point Of View): Reader

It hurt. All of the arguments and fights. I couldn't stand it anymore. I wiped the tears from my eyes and adjusted my dress. I took a deep breath and continued to walk to where Anakin was. I walked to the balcony to see him standing there with his arms crossed.
I turned to leave.
"Don't go" he said.
"I didn't want to disturb you" I replied.
I moved closer to him as he turned around.
"We have to talk" Anakin said focusing on me.

I sighed and said, "Anakin, I don't-"
"It's not what you think"
I frowned.
"What then?" I asked sternly.

I was afraid this was going to turn into another ridiculous argument.

"I miss you..." Anakin said looking down to his feet.

"Anakin.. I'm right here" I said, moving a bit closer.

I started to feel sorry for all of the horrible things I had said to him before in previous arguments. I didn't regret those things then, but I did now.

"I don't miss you that way actually... I miss kissing you without being afraid that I may hurt you. I miss comforting you, holding you when your upset. I miss everything about you" Anakin said softly.

His breath was shaky and I could sense the pain in his voice.

"Anakin... why didn't you tell me this before our situation got worse?" I asked.

"I was upset, angry even" he started, "I was losing my wife. I was losing you Y/N"

I took a deep breath and held his hand in mine.
"We can get through this" I breathed, "I promise"

A small, sad smile formed on Anakin's face.
"You really think so?" He asked.

"Of course I do. Besides, I miss calling you Ani sometimes"

He laughed softly and looked into my E/C eyes.

"Let's fix this" Anakin sighed.

"It can't be that hard. We're already half way there" I replied.

This imagine was partially inspired by the scene where Anakin has a nightmare about his mother. (I will get better at this I promise)
