BLOOD, GUNS AND ROSES
CHAPTER ONE
Tahiti, Sunday, April 30. 8:05PM
Paula Briggs climbed into the rusty old steel swing and kicked off the oscillation with a happy impact of her podgy feet on the rich earth of her remote farm where she had decided to spend her six months vacation in paradise without any intrusion from anyone else except Alexander Fletcher who was due to show up any moment soon, of course with that warm and encapsulating smile.
Honeymoon was a basic necessity and a few newly weds these days really knew how well to enjoy it. Some experts even postulates that the manner of way couples spent their honeymoon could have a strong, lasting influence on their marriage, as well as their happiness on the long run.
She shut her eyes and allowed the thrilling and hypnotic movement of the swing to rocket her mind to a new world of fantasies. She could only feel right now-Zero gravity, floating in wonderland!
The picture was crisp, clear and fascinating. Alex her newly wedded husband who had only won a fifty million dollar lawsuit against his partner threw his warm loving arms around her, the wedding bell jingling all over her head, all around. He started kissing, curdling and stroking every sensitive part of her body sensationally. Soon both were lying down amidst the most exotic species of flowers there is on planet earth. She started panting, handing over the totality of her being to her emotions. They had irresistibly taken over the reigns of power.
A smartly dressed young man in his mid twenties or so walked in before her with a grin on his face, carrying a small black gift box in which his hand was dug. He stood still watching and wondering why her eyes were shut all the while and her mind far away from….
The aura of the presence of someone else on the scene suddenly over ruled the overwhelming hypnotic power of her imaginations and transported her back to

the present reality. Slowly, the warm inviting smile that hugged her face metamorphosed into a stare of surprise and excitement.
“ Alex! How the hell did you….”
With one swift and precise movement of his right hand, Alex peeled off his precision-built latex face and revealed a total stranger.
“ Jesus! Who the hell are you? And how did you get here?” Paula screamed out in panic, eyes shifting focus rapidly in response to fright.
The stranger withdrew his hand from the small black gift box.
“ Well, I am her to deliver a wedding gift” He said, revealing a shiny silver silenced pistol.
A powerful knee buckling bolt of terror descended on Paula. Suddenly, she heard it loud in her head—run for your life!!! Instinctively her mouth opened, she was about to scream, and run for her dear life when two brass bullets crashed into her chest with a heart bursting pain. And another hit her in between her eyes bursting out blood stained brain matter behind her. And yet again another hit her left breast, renting in apart, with pieces of flesh and blood splattered all around.
Thirty minutes later, Alex rolled his Mercedes Benz convertible into the large estate which was sited in the outskirt of the state and sped along the asphalt, whistling a tune—Bailamos, a popular song by Enrique Eglesias.
He climbed out of the car and slammed the car door with a thudding sound. And started for the farm house.
“ Hello buddie, ”
Alex swirled around and saw a young man with a small black gift box.
“ Paula’s got a surprise gift for you” he said, beaming a broad smile.
“ Oh Paula! Not again! I thought this place was just for the two of us!”

“ Nope, you’re wrong.” The stranger said, laughing.
Alex sighed in submission.
“Okay, may I have it?”
“Sure!” He said and swiftly pulled out the same gun that killed his wife. Smiling.
“Jeez!” Alex screamed out, frightened to his feet. “What do you want with me? Paula sent you? Holy , no, no, I can give you a million dollars right now! Just don’t do it. Don’t ….”
“Shoot the bastard now! ” A loud husky voice thundered from a distance behind.
“no, please no, don’t…”
Two brass bullets bursting out of the small nozzle of the pistol at lightning speed caught his heart, slumping him hard on the ground. The assassin walked up to him and placed his right leg over his face, disfiguring the shape of his face under the weight of his leg, “nice gift right?” He spat on his face and shot at his head at close range again, bursting out blood and brain matter all over the ground and his clothes. “Well, just to be sure,” he said and wiped away the blood and brain matter that disturbingly hugged his face.
“Now clean the mess up and let’s get out of here!” the voice ordered from a distance behind again.
It took about an hour to work on the bodies, the bullets removed. And the bodies were put back in the Mercedes and maneuvered to drag them along, off the asphalt at high speed, crashing with a loud explosion against a tree. Engulfed by a violent fire, the bodies burned away mercilessly.
Both men watched on silently, not a word between them. And soon left the same way they came…silently, clandestinely.
In the car that was speeding away in the distance a conversation began.
BLOOD, GUNS AND ROSES
“Good job, Kazeem.” He said with a nod of his head. “Medusa would be playing his own part as arranged.”
Kazeem, the heartless young man that pulled the trigger hours ago gave a small lifeless nod of acceptance.
“It may take about six months from now, or even more before the world learn about this.”
“Yeah, its perfect timing.” He laughed. “They wanted to have a just-the-two-of-us-only honeymoon. Now they’ve got it.” Kazeem said, fondling that little deadly pistol on his lap
