'If this is love, why does it break me down?'
She laughs bitterly as she takes a swig from the half empty Dom Perignon bottle she's holding, looking at the beautiful view the city was giving her.
The 68-story height of Discovery Primea not bothering her to any extent.
Her phone buzzed with a handful of notifications from friends and family with regards to as if she's okay.
Annoyed, she turns off the phone just as her mother calls her.
She runs her hand over her hair and removes the veil that's tucked in the loose bun.
She surprisingly haven't shed a tear for the jerk who made her this way, yet.
'Who was I kidding?', she thinks to herself as she throws it near where her white stilettos lay lifelessly on the ground,"I didn't want to get married today anyway."
What kind of sane person would want to get married to a man arranged for you to marry just because it will strengthen a business partnership?
Heck, he even brought his woman and made out with her in front of our clans like it's no big deal. I would actually like to applaud him for his boldness.
Unfortunately, she's an insane woman;
Digging her grave even more deeper by being infatuated with the said man.Even if it meant temporarily forgetting her feelings for the person she truly loved.
Shifting her sitting position to lie down on the edge, the door was opened haphazardly just as she made herself comfortable.
"My god, Margaux! We were looking all over the damn place for you and you were here all along!"
She smiles at the man,"I knew you would find me first,"
The man strides to her in fear of what she's going to do,"You're not planning on killing yourself just for that scum aren't you?"
"Of course not," She says and laughs heartily, "I still have my wits Quinn."
He looks at her solemnly then holds her face in his hands,"You can cry, you know?"
"Why would I?", She says with boastfulness in her tone,"There's nothing to cry about. In fact, we should celebrate." She says as she moves away from his hold to pick up her shoes.
In reality, she was upset she couldn't fight for the one she loved like her 'almost husband' did.
Her tears stream down her face as she turns her back to him but was quick to wipe it away so he wouldn't notice.
He noticed though, and grabbed her arms making her drop the heels to hug her.
"Do you remember the wish you asked last year?"
She manages a small smile as she recall their last summer vacation."What about it?"
"Well, I'm about to grant a request for my main lady." He says with a mischievous smile. He holds her waist gently as she does the same.
'Will you be my last dance to my wedding that I wouldn't want to attend?'
'Would you still wouldn't want to attend it even if I were the one to be waiting for you at the end of the aisle?'Her eyes met his in a longing gaze when she remembered what she said.
'That will actually make things a whole lot better.'
He slowly swayed her body to his own rhythm,"I know things are fucked up right now and we're both probably drunk from all the champagne but will you spend the rest of your life with me?"
She looks up at him and kisses him her answer.
"Gladly."
