Children of the Heroes: Alpha

Piper had just had our baby girl, Clare. Everything was cool. But at the same time kind of weird....

I mean Camp Half-Blood i great and all, but it's kind of boring here without the rest of the six of us.

"Are you okay Roman Zeus son?" Tyson asked me.

"yeah, i'm just fine. It's just that I wish I could see the rest of the guys."

"Yes. I wish I could see my brother too. And maybe the bossy blonde." Tyson replied. That last comment made me laugh a little. It's been awhile....Building shrines to all the gods was hard work. So much work that I'm not even done yet...

The thought of Percy, Annabeth, Frank, amd Hazel made me smile too....

Then something un expected happened. The skies started to get gloomy, and the wind started to pick up.

"That's not me, I'm not doing this." That's when we heard the battle horn cry. The Earth started to rumble, like a giant was coming. One of the fauns said to go help with the fight, they would take care of Piper and the baby; turns out, it's a girl. I owe Hazel 50 denarius. Every monster that any of us had ever destroyed had come back. Giants, gorgons, even a few Titans.

"If you die, you die with honor." Reyna screamed. "CHARGE!"

The battle begun. Swords clashing, spears flying over head, golden dust swirling in the wind. I swear I swallowed some. Gorgons charged the buildings where people were recovering, where we had started re-building. Then, it hit me. Medusa and her two sisters, Stheno and Euryale, were heading toward the hospital building; where Piper and my daughter were.

After turning one of the dracnae into dust, I ran off towards the building. My heart beating fast, the sound of people crying out for help. The screams of people dying around me; friends, family. Then, I heard something so familiar, it could have scared me in my sleep; Piper screamed. As I entered the room on the third floor, The three sisters had Piper in a corner. But where was my daughter?

Medusa, Stheno, and Euryale hadn't seen me come in. I raised my sword, then slashed through all three of them.

"Piper! Are you alright?" I asked.

"I'm alright. Medusa scratched me, but I'll be fine." She replied, I kissed her gently.

"You should rest. You-"

"Are you kidding? I just gave birth!" she screamed at me "Of course I'm going to charge into that fight!"

"Okay then. Where is our daughter?" I asked. All the color drained from her face. That's when I new. Piper never hid the baby. She was gone. We charged the battle field, hoping one of the monsters had her. But I got trampled by the war elephant; my vision black.
