Two days had went by quickly. And, already James and Lily can see how much more Harry had become to be like them. They had just gotten done eating lunch and were about to head off for Defense Against the Dark Arts. "Hermoine came to join them panting. "Been in the" said Hermoine while being cutt off. "Library" finished James and Harry. "Comm'on, Let's hurry so we can get dessent seats" said Ron. He was really excited about this class. He had been looking forward to it ever sence Fred and George talked about it.
They had finally reached the classroom and took seats in the front. Harry and Ron sat next to eachother at one of the desks in the front, while Lily and Severus sat behind them. Hermoine and Neville sat next to each other at the desk next to Harry's and Ron's, while Sirius and James sat behind, and Remus sat next to Seamus behind them. They all began to take out thier books when Moody came in the room. "You can put those away" he growled. "Won't be needin' them" He got to the front of the class. Lily, James, Sirius, Severus, and Remus knew not to interupt him all too well. "Right then" he said. "I've had a letter from your past Professor about this class. If i'm not mistaken, you all had Proffessor Lupin, right?" The entire class aside from the Maurarders, Lily, and Severus shook thier heads. Remus had almost forgotten that his future self had became a proffessor. "I see you've all covered Boggarts, Red caps, HinkyPunks, Grindylows, Kappas, and Werewolves" Moody said. The entire class shook thier heads again. Remus looked ashamed. "Well, you are behind, very behind on dealing with curses. So, i've got one year to teach you all about curses and what witches and wizards can do to each other. "Arn't you staying?" asked Lily. Moody looked at her and smiled. "And you are?" he asked. Although he already knew from looking at her through his magical eye. "Rose Deacon, sir" she said. "Ahh, Dumbldore did tell me about you and your four friends here" he said looking around at James, Remus, Sirius, and Severus. "The transferred students, are you?" "Yes"she said. "Well, of course I am not planning on staying here. I'm only here doing Dumbledore a favor and then it's back to retirement." he said. Then he went back to face the rest of the class.
"So, back to buisness" he said clapping his hands together. "Curses. They come in many forms and strengths. According to the Ministry, i'm supposed to teach you countercurses only, but I think different. You need to know what your up against and how to fight. You arn't suppossed to learn what illegal Dark curses look like until your sixth year. Of course Dumbledore agrees that the sooner, the better. How can you defend yourself against something you've never seen? A witch or wizard dosn't tell you that they are about to perform a curse on you now do they?" he said while turning around to start writing on the board. "You need to be prepared! You need to be alert! You need to find another place to put your chewing gum besides the underside of your desk Mr. Finnigan!" The entire class jumped. Seamus whispered. " It's like he's got eyes on the back of his head" Moody turned around. "Are you ignoring my class rules?" he growled while throwing a piece of chalk across the room. "So, do any of you know what the three illegal curses are?" asked Moody "Anyone?" Ron raised his hand slowly. Moody pointed to him. "And you are?" he asked. "Ron Weasley" said Ron. "Eh, you must be Aurther's son. Helped me out with a little trouble a few days ago." said Moody. "So, which one do you know?" "My dad told me about it once. The imperious curse." said Ron. "Ah, he would know about that one. Gave the Ministry a bit of trouble once" said Moody.
He walked back to his desk and took a jar filled with three spiders out of it. He took out one of the spiders, placed it one his desk, took out his wand, pointed it at the spider, and said "Imperio."
