As Anxiety closes her apartment door, she feels the strong presence of other people behind her. She turns her head, her eyes darting between a girl and a boy, both wearing name badges. _They must be new._ The girl, blonde with a small tattoo of a noose on her hand and wearing ripped jeans, a black and white flannel shirt, approaches Anxiety with a smile. Her badge is clearer, and her name is written in block capitals. _Suicide._ "Nice to meet you. That's Depression." She holds out her hand, nodding her head towards the brunette boy wearing full black. Anxiety whispers her name, shaking Suicide's hand quickly before pulling away and pushing her glasses up her nose. "Huh." Suicide sighs, looking at Depression and motioning the mute boy to follow. "So Anxiety, what was your first day like? I need to know what I'm going to expect." Suicide smirked, lookind down at the shorter girl from the corner of her eyes. Anxiety felt the panic rise in her chest. She took a deep breath, the memory painfully entering the front of her mind. "Well..." Anxiety started.

The new girl, she was labelled. When she walked in the hall, she felt the eyes of strangers piercing into her soul and searching for her badge. A girl walks up to her, tall like the others, blonde, tanned, wearing a floral dress and black heels, approaches the short, pale, dark haired girl. "Anxiety." She read out loud, glaring at 'Anxiety' with her icy blue eyes. Anxiety stared at the floor, feeling the tears rise and hear heartbeat increase. "I-I-I'm new..." She whispered, her voice shaky. The blonde girl laughed, leaning down to Anxiety's shoulder. "I'm going to be blunt. Nobody wants you or trusts you, you're useless, a burden on us, I don't know why you even showed up." She mutters loud enough for Anxiety to understand. Happiness, she was known as, leaned out and pushed Anxiety's shoulders hard. She fell to the floor, her head cracking hard on the glossed wooden planks. The surrounding crowd laughed at her as a flood of tears burst from her eyes. "Get up and go, Anxiety. You're not going to win." Happiness shouted, strutting away from the crying girl on the floor while being followed by the crowd of brainless people.

Suicide blew air out of her mouth in a kind of shock. "Well that's just...Ouch. This Happiness girl sounds like a right bitch. I'll stay by your side, Anxiety. We'll get her back one day." Suicide grins, linking hands with Anxiety. Anxiety turns, seeing Depression offering his gloved hand in support. She takes it, feeling comfortable with these two strangers she met only minutes ago.
