Prolouge~
There wasn't always flesh craving beasts roaming around.
Matter of fact, it was the United States's fault. After years of war with Afghanistan, we planned on nuking them with toxic chemicals that would wipe out the entire country. What we
didn't know... they planned on attacking the same day. They shot us down and the chemicals slowly leaked into the ocean, making it completely undrinkable. Not that we would want to drink salt water in the first place. It made it's way to land though, which made it's way into the ground, which got into the drinkable water. Somehow when we drank the water, we became those... Things. There are a few different types though. Biters, the basic wad of flesh. Lurkers, They are completely blind, but their hearing and smelling senses are extremely acute,you start becoming a lurker when fungus and mushrooms start growing out of your eyes. Runners, bad hearing but they run up to speeds of 40 MPH, usually very fit when they were human. Finally, bloaters, they really aren't much arm except for their pus. They blow up like a balloon and pus pours out. If the unlikely day comes that you touch the pus, you're in for a ride. You usually find yourself a bloater if you have some serious wounds, they get infected, and the you start to bloat.
Anyways, back to the water dilemma. People unknowingly started drinking the infected water, of course turning into biters. It spread like a wild fire, by 2004 every continent was infested with biters. In the span of a year the world had gone trash. People were dead, and they came back... still dead though. Believe it or not. So, that's how it began
