Alainas POV

I went home with Brad as we couldn't clearly stay in the office after the incident.When we reached home he told me to take my time to change as he had to take care of some things.I nodded and went up to take bath .After taking shower and going to the closet,I was unable to decide what to wear as i didn't know where we were going so I settled on a beige skater dress from Zara .I missed my jeans and large sized shirts. I put on some perfume ,lip gloss and took my bag which i would have never if i was in my previous house but having no choice.I took it.

Brad was packing something in the picnic carry box.He was removing plastic packets ,clearly he ordered from outside.As his last experience  cooking wasn't great.I smiled at him and went to help him with packing as clearly he was doing everything."Alaina I wanted to--",he was cutoff again by his cell phone."sorry i have to take this",he said after glancing at the screen.He went to the living room.I finished packing.I waited few minutes purposely as i didn't want him to think i was eavesdropping on him.I heard bits of his conversation as he was loud.He was talking to Mr. Streep,one of the board members.

"Mr Streep I don't care whats good for the company or not ,My decision is final............well they can go to hell......I am not hiring them back.Nobody disrespects my fiancee and gets away with it.........Look don't try to talk me out of it ..My decision is final tell all your managers under you to keep a check so that they don't get hired in any of our companies back ......yes all the 50 around the WORLD.YOU GOT IT?....OK Good.I have to go.I will call you later to check on it.",he ended the call.

I still stayed in the kitchen and went to the refrigerator to get some drinks.I saw him standing behind me staring at something behind me and when i turned my head,he looked at me and smiled.I tried to remain normal as I couldn't let him know i heard his conversation.

"So who was it?",i asked casually.

"Nobody important i have told all of them to not bother me so you can be relieved."

I smiled.

We got in the car ,and drove.we were quiet on the way.I didn't know what to talk to him but its better if i get it out here.

"I am really sorry if because of me  you had to fire  your employees.Its still OK if you give them a job."

"As i have said many times you dont have to apologize and they are just a collateral damage.I really don't even understand how they got the job here.Thank god I was in this branch and not in Miami.",he said concentrating on his driving.

We reached the location after some 4 hours.It was outside New York but i didn't find my voice to ask where it was as the scenery was amazing.It was a cliff overlooking the   whole town and it was night time by when we reached ,the houses had lights glowing and it felt like seeing stars both up int he sky and down. At the edge of the cliff  there was a swing attached to a tree.It felt so quiet ,peaceful .The moon  felt so close that if i jumped from the cliff ,I could almost catch it in my arms.

Brad looked at me and when i looked back at him,"So,hows it?",he waited anxiously.

I smiled,"Its amazing,marvellous where did  you find this?where are we?"

"I know,I come here a lot and to answer your 2nd question,I cant tell you where we are cause if i did ,i would have to kill you and today i am not in a mood for that.",he said smugly. Egotistical ass.

"FINE.your place, your secret. I am sure you pretty much own it. After all whatever you want you get it.",i said uncaringly.

"Not every time.",he said looking down sadly as if he remembered something.
