So, you've just joined a band. No studio, and you guys are basically separated. Anyways, enough 'bout that.
So, there's basically different types of people in a band.H e r o:
The one that has all da skilllllz. Usually very douchey, but in some rare occasions, there's ones that don't like the spotlight. (WHY YOU JOIN A BAND THEN??)Emo:
Eyeliner, a notebook or two full of poetry, lyrics, melodies, you get it. Super edgy, (like, Hot Topic level edgy.) but creative.Douche:
Wants power, money, probably has a skateboard, and probably bought a bass/guitar/drums/whatever to look cool. Sometimes fun, but a Douche is a douche. Probably uses drugs or is a drunk because, "WERE IN A BAND."
Music Is life:
Thier instrument is their baby. Very passionate, and Expressive. The "just wanna be cool":
Just wants to be cool, so they joined a band. Also known as, "I got dragged into this shit called a band."Your looks are pretty important, too. But that's not what music is about, don't get all self-conscious. But you do want to appear like you're decent enough to make good music.
Don't's
-Do not wear your merch. Just don't.
- Don't wear the same thing. You're just gonna end up looking weird.
- Don't go for one color. (I'm talking to you, emos.)
- Tucked in shirts, really expensive and nice stuff, you're gonna end up looking weird. Depends on what genre your band is.
- Pins, wristbands, and patches,,
Oh, it's just the kid whos going back in time.Do's:
- Have a decent haircut. Try to look your best, but not your absolute best. (People will judge you for anything nowadays.)
- Try to wear different things, but fit in the same category as eachother, and the genre as your band.
(When you see those 2011 Synthy Pop bands with headbands, bright colors, you'll go: "Oh, a pop band.")
- Vans, Converse, what? Go for something more daring, like Doc Martens or Platform shoes.
- Getting your own screen printed shirts with one of your own designs. (BUT NOT YOUR BAND NAME OR LOGO.)
- Or just make your own clothes. Sew them yourself.Be unique. Not too unique, but you know what I mean.
