Two days after getting sick, i was finally going back to work. Emma stayed home with me the whole time. It made everything seem so real. Like... I've barely known her and now we're... dating? I don't even know what we are. All I know is that we're having sex. "Mom?" Henry asked and came in the kitchen. "Yes love?" I asked softly, making our coffee. "Um.. so... if Emma's a girl.. why does she have a penis?" He asked and I smiled at his embarrassment. "She's intersexual. So she was born with a male reproductive system." I said and he nodded. He walked in on us this morning when we were getting up. "Well that's cool." He said and I smiled. "Good morning." Emma said and came in, buttoning her shirt up. "Morning Emma." Henry said and smiled as she came over and kissed my head. "Morning kid." She said and smiled. I turned and pecked her lips, handing her the coffee I made for her. She smiled. "You're the best." She said and I hummed. "Yeah yeah." I said and smirked. She chuckled. "Let's go you two." She said and we left, all of us going to her car.

I ate lunch in my classroom, pretty upset. I overheard Emma in the staff room, assuring a woman that she and I weren't a couple. So I left. I went to my classroom, her not even noticing. It pissed me off. But it also really upset me. I fucking had sex with her. I had her over to my house. I'm such an idiot.

The bell rang and my students all left. They were all ready since it was Friday. My last student left the door open and I packed up. "Hey..." I heard Emma and i ground my teeth together. "Hello." I said annoyed. "What's going on? You've avoided me all day." She said and I scoffed. "Nothing. I'm glad you had sex with me so you can check me off your list. I hope your next makes you happy." I said and tried to pass her. She grabbed me and pulled me back in, locking the door after closing it. "What the hell are you talking about." She said annoyed. "I heard you telling that brunette that you could assure her we weren't dating. So good job. You tricked me. I hope the next girl who falls for you is smarter." I said and moved to unlock the door. She pushed me against it and pulled me into a deep kiss. I gasped and pushed her away. "What the hell is wrong with you." I spit and she rolled her eyes. "That brunette is my best friend. I was telling her that because I was telling her how much I liked you and how confused I was about what we were. But thanks for not trusting me." She spit, obviously hurt. "I-I'm so sorry. I didn't know." I said tearing up. She just shook her head. Am I going to lose her already?

A month later found me depressed. I didn't know how much Emma meant to me until I lost her. She decided we wouldn't work if I couldn't trust her. But I do. So much.  And she won't talk to me. I sighed as I put on a tight black dress and black stilettos. I was signed up by Ruby to chaperone the homecoming dance. And she partnered me up with Emma, of all people. I wasn't happy to be going. But maybe I would get to apologize.

I stood outside the back door. Emma was ignoring me and standing pretty much as far away as she could from me. It hurt. But it's all my fault. "I miss you." I whispered. She sighed. "I miss you too." She said softly. She's wearing a fitted tux. She looks amazing. Her hair's up in a high ponytail and she's wearing black stilettos. "I do trust you Emma. I promise. I just really like you and i was scared to lose you to someone else." I said sadly. "Come here." She said and I walked over. She pulled me into a tight hug and i buried my face in the crook of her neck. "I really like you too. It scares me how much." She said and I nodded. "Can I please be your girlfriend?" I asked softly and she kissed my head. "Only if I can be yours." She said and I smiled. "Deal." I said and she kissed my head.

The end of the dance found Emma driving us home. Ruby picked us up on the way. She pulled in the driveway and I bit my lip. "Will you stay?" I asked softly as Henry went in the house. She smiled and nodded, turning the car off. We got out and went in the house. I locked the door after us before we went upstairs. We undressed and got in bed and I turned, snuggling into her. She kissed my head and I smiled. I didn't realize how much I missed her. "Goodnight Love."

Monday morning came and I got dressed in a red button down, tucked into a black skirt. I put on sheer black stockings and black boots before doing my hair and makeup. I smiled at my appearance in the mirror before going downstairs. I went to the kitchen and made my coffee before going to check on Henry. I frowned seeing him still in bed. "Henry?" I said softly as I walked over. He groaned. I felt his forehead and sighed. "Baby why didn't you come get me? You're burning up." I said softly. "I didn't wanna get up." He mumbled. I nodded. "Let me get you some medicine okay baby?" I said and he nodded. I frowned and left his room. So Emma didn't get sick but he did. I guess only one person catching it is good. I feel bad though. Except now that I think about it... it's been a month so I don't think he got it from me. I got some Motrin and a glass of water for him before taking it back to his room. I helped him take it and he drank all the water before he laid back down. "Do you want me to take off work today baby?" I asked softly and he shook his head. "I'll be fine. I'm just gonna sleep." He mumbled and I nodded. "Call me if you need me okay? If you can't get me, call Emma. Okay?" I said and he nodded. "I love you. I'll check in on you around lunch time." I said and he nodded again. I left his room and went back downstairs. I got my coffee, then my purse and work bag before leaving.

When I got to school, I put the warm up on the board and tried to stop worrying about Henry. I know he's going to be fine. But still.

Lunch finally rolled around and I got my phone out. I called Henry and he didn't answer so I assume he's sleeping. I went to the staff room and got my salad and water from the fridge before going to sit at the table. "Hey Regina. Where's Henry?" Belle asked softly. "He's sick." I said and sighed. She nodded. I started eating and wondered where Emma was. She normally comes in here at lunch. "Where's Ruby?" I asked and she hummed. "She got called in for jury duty." She said and I nodded. I sighed and kept eating.

The end of the day came and no Emma anywhere. I texted her several times and got nothing. I sighed and packed up before going home. I went in and up to check on Henry. "You okay bud?" I asked softly. He nodded. "I took more medicine like you said." He said softly and I nodded. "Good. Go back to sleep okay?" I said and he nodded. I left his room and went to mine, changing into a hoodie and leggings, then getting in bed. I didn't feel very good either. I curled up under my blankets and sighed.
