"Manik just accept it that you were cheating!" Nandini said looking at him narrowing her eyes

"No jaan.. trust me i.. " Manik was cut in between

"Daddy!! We saw you cheating!" Their 3 years old daughter, Myra said

"No sweetheart. I wasn't"

"Manik accept it or we'll not play with you next time" nandini whined

"Ok ok fine! Here" he said giving them the two cards he was hiding.

"Daddy! Why did you that?" Myra said looking at him

"For fun" he winked "so that you and mommy keep finding it."

Nandini glared at him while Myra laughed and snuggled closer to her daddy dearest.

He happily sighed and hugged Myra closer while nandini smiled looking at them.

Manik opened his one arm for her while she happily came to his side and rested head on his shoulder while he hugged both of them more tightly.

Flashback

Nandini had arranged a beautiful surprise party for him. All his friends and relatives had enjoyed a lot and complimented her while he proudly smiled.

Later she had arranged a candle light dinner in their room. It was not very lavish or something but Manik was happy. All that mattered was they were together.

They had cleverly denied the dinner with others when the guests were asking them to join. But his close friends had teased him saying they knew what was going to happen.

At night Manik had given her his last gift, yes last gift because the whole day he had been showering her with bouquets, cards, chocolates, a diamond necklace, a ring, a designer saree, and what not.

At night he gave her an empty box and she looked at him confused.

"I wanted to give you my heart, but then I realized it is already with you" he smiled

She too smiled with tears and hugged him. And that was when she looked up at him and told him "I love you Manik, hamesha" for the first time.

Manik smiled "I love you too, forever"

And that day did not just have that one memory, but she also gave him the happiest news of their life "their symbol of love" their baby.

Manik looked at nandini and smiled when she kissed his cheek.

"Kya soch rahe the" she asked

"Our first anniversary" he smiled

She smiled and moved away. He frowned.

"I'll keep her in bed" she said taking a sleeping Myra from him.
