There is no difference with the ambiance here and the mundane world, only that there is a thin yet so thick barricade lining up the territorial dispute between worlds. The difference couldn’t be identified with just one glance and with the naked eye. You could identify it by looking internally, just like staring at a specimen under a microscope.500 meters from me I can see cabins. Yes, cabins. It’s like staring into a mini-town in the 70’s.
I knew Red entered this route but still I’ve got to be careful. I thought he had gone to JFK yesterday. Why was he still here?
A fierce growl came out off my way. I hold the pocket knife in my hands hard for protection. Five wolves are now encircling me and I’m at a slight disadvantage.
A human against five wolves is impossible. I might be having a death wish.

My hands are tied as I was dragged to the cabins. Yeah, it was like the cabin in the woods but only with the feeling of Wrong Turn and not Twilight. It was like I am a prisoner in someone else’s world.
There’s a commotion the time I entered their territory. So I guess, I landed in a werewolf territory.
There’s a fire in the middle of their compound that serves as their light. Probably, that fire will keep me on freezing to death or maybe my last destination where they will burn me, ain’t it?
I was kneeled down five meters before the camp fire. My knees ache, for I am bruised during my attempt to fight. I clenched my teeth as I felt my scraped knee touched the ground. The guy with the chiselled hair who have been unmercifully dragged me kept staring me down as if I am an unwanted being.
I break the contact as I stared at my surroundings. I am being seen from a hundred pair of eyes. My robe’s a little dirty right now and I curse myself for being so helpless.
Just when I thought it was over, I was dragged again inside from one of the largest cabins. The inside was literally neat and vintage-y and if I’m not being held prisoner right now, and instead I was welcomed as a guest then I’m sure I would talk my hearts out how cool and awesome for someone to design this type of house. So much for myself to hope.
But, this is the Outside World. And I am an outcast. I am not welcomed.
Then they open this door where they push me in. Locked up. I thought it was a prison but it was an office with a fine set stack of books. The room dominates a greenish hue as if someone was in a forest inside a forest. Really, that confused me.
“Welcome, mate!” someone said and my eyes go wide. Leaning against the door frame was the guy who I wanted to snap his arm for provoking me.
I took careful steps back as my hand touch the hard wall. Dead end. I look intensely at the stare he’s giving me until he sniffed the air and his grey-eyes gone black.
“Who have you been touching again?!” My brows knitted to this outburst. Firstly, I don’t know him and he doesn’t have the right for his remark pinpointing to me. Secondly, his co-dogs are the one responsible for his outburst but I’m not telling that. Let him guess.
I am lost in thoughts until I am being pinned down by him. I struggled. “Stop fighting me, Revel.” I stopped. How did he know my name?
My sudden stop gave him the opportunity to leaned down and mark me. That earned for me to shout and kick him underneath. I struggled to get up but I managed. I dashed to the door and I heard him cursing. Howling came afterwards. I am being chased by his minions. It’s a good thing I ran from the backside where no one could catch me in a second. I hid under the shade of an oak tree. There’s a hole big enough for me to fit so I slip in.
The mark’s still fresh and I’m cursing. It still hurts.
After a few minutes, the howling stopped. Guess, they’ve gone to another route. I’m safe. Just then I saw those red-eyes that set its mark from me. Only this time it chases after me.
I can feel my heart thumping as I ran from those red gleaming eyes that set me his prey ever since we locked eyes from the beginning. The flickering lights gave me the anxiety as I took a turn around a corner to hide but only to be captured in those large hands. I tried to fight with my last bit of energy as I consider what I have learnt from my defence class. Sadly, it was blocked.
“You think you could run from me just like that?” I shiver as he said those words closely to my ear. My heart pumps. My knees are shaking—and it’s the first time I’ve felt such terror.
The last time I remember before smelling whatever he put in my nose with that filthy handkerchief was that, “You’re in my world, after all.”
