Natalie dropped me back into my seat. Everyone around us seemed surprised from the events that just took place.

I let out a sigh. Man, if only I hadn't made that stupid promise to Austin. Then I could show Natalie who's boss. I could show her not to treat me differently, because it wasn't fair.

Yet, what if it WAS fair? What if everything was meant to be this way? What if I'm supposed to be "put away" like Natalie said? What about Logan? Was he meant to be "put away", too? There were just so many questions in life that couldn't be answered...not now, at least.

My thoughts (and most likely everyone else's) was interrupted when we all heard a thud, followed by the bus driver's screaming. He stopped the engine and started to exit the bus.

"What's happening?!" multiple kids screamed. I wanted to scream along with them, but I remained silent.

The bus driver came back onto the bus and started scanning all of us. He then shouted, "Where's Iris?!" My eyes widened. Why the hell is he yelling my name?! What's happening?!

I slowly stood up and walked towards the driver. I tried my absolute best to hide my fear. The bus driver grabbed my arm and dragged me outside. He took me to the cause of the large thud that was heard just moments before. Why would he show ME, though? I mean, he probably just ran over a deer or something. Why did I need to see this?

"Boy says that you're the only one he'll talk to. Guess you two have something special," the driver started to tell me. What? A boy? What in the name of what was he talking about?!

It all made sense, though, as I approached the front of the bus. My jaw dropped and my eyes widened once more. What lied before me was the fairly injured body of my best friend... Logan.
