Rebuilding Life (Naruto Fanfiction)

Food (Chapter 1)

Food, a four letter word that saves our main character's life; seeing as though he only eats once a week if lucky. Though it's most likely two to three weeks until he can have even a filling meal. Anyways as we can see as of now is our blond, spiky hair main character sitting on a stool that's taller than he is. The small blond was sitting in his favorite shop, not considering the fact that he can't go into any other shop without getting kicked out of it, Ichimaru's. One of the two works there ask him, "What do you want today Naruto?"

"Miso ramen, please!" The blond, known as Naruto said, bouncing in his seat.

The old man nod before walking back into his shop to make Naruto's food. Naruto sat there patiently, kicking his feet back and forth in the air, when there was someone said something not so nice. "Teuchi, why do you let a Demon in here? It's bad for your business."

The old man that was getting Naruto's food came back up, who we can now assume is Teuchi, and spoke, "I don't know what you're talking about? He brings almost a third of the profit, so he's good business to me."

The man, that comment on Naruto's presence, huff and face back to his ramen. Naruto look at Teuchi and said, "Sorry for causing you trouble Teuchi."

Teuchi smiles at Naruto and says, "It's alright besides your our best customer."

"Ya but what you said to the guy about me bringing in a third of your profit was a lie. I don't even pay for it two thirds of the time," Naruto says looking upset with himself.

"That doesn't matter Naruto your company and that bright smile of yours is enough," a girl says as she comes up to the counter.

Naruto smiles at the girl before his grin becomes wider and he says, "I have to go meet with Jiji! He says he has something important to tell me."

"Alright Naruto, be sure to come back soon!" announce Teuchi and the girl, Ayame.

Naruto nod as he ran off. As he was running he yell back out to them, "I'll be sure to pay you guys back for all that you've done for me!"

"I'm sure you will Naruto," Teuchi mumble to himself as he went back to work.

Naruto was running in the back alleyways of Konoha. He like going through the back ways. It keeps the villagers glares off of him, of course there's always those few incidents where a villager would be walking in the alleys. That's a low chance though and luckily for Naruto today is not one of those days. Naruto continue along the backends of the houses until the space between the houses spread and there were barely any houses around. Naruto slow down and made the decision to walk along the road as there weren't that many people walking around.

He finally made it to Jiji's house. He walk past the gates and along the path that lead up to the house. The flowers blooming along the side of the path, and the trees swaying to the rhythm of the wind made the atmosphere seem so peaceful. Naruto made it to the door of Jiji's house and he knock on the door. The sound of footsteps coming closer, let Naruto know that someone was coming to answer the door. The door open and appear a man of old age. The grey, slightly spiky hair man gave a greeting to Naruto. "Ah, Naruto it's nice to see you again. Come in," the man says in a gruff voice.

The man move out of the way and Naruto walk in with a skip to his step. Naruto continue his way into the house and made his way into the living room. He sat on the couch and not soon after did the man sit across from him. Naruto made the decision to speak up before any sort of silence could settle in. "So Jiji, what's the important thing that you want to tell me?"
