Gray stares at me as if I was an alien from another planet. "Ethan, I didn't know that you knew Brooklyn," he says obviously staring at me.
"Wait, you know her too?"
I quickly look over at Gray. My tight-lipped smile, tense shoulders, and wide eyes better tell him to not say anything. "Of course I know Brooke. She's my partner in English class for this project we were doing," he says smirking and trying to piss me off.
"You knew my brother and didn't tell me," Ethan questions.
Quick! Think on your feet! "I didn't know that you guys were brothers, E," I says immediately regretting. They are identical twins. How could I have said that? So stupid.
"We look alike," he says as he stands next to his brother.
I laugh awkawrdly, "Hahaha, um...you guys don't look alike to me," I say my voice going higher and higher.
"We're identical?" he says again looking at Gray who simply shrugs. I stand awkawrdly throwing my hands up in the air.
"You know, I'm kinda hungry! Let's go to the kitchen," I hastily say. "Now!"
Before I could leave the situation, Grayson steps in front of me and says, "You have to tell him. By tonight. Or I will."
