*one week later*

SHANES POV-

For the past week, I was doing the most training possible. Time goes so fast when you play football. Seriously, 5 hours just goes like that. I like it though. It makes me zone out for some time. All I do is concentrate on the ball ball in front of me.

Last year, we just about won. I knew we could do it, but I scored in the last few minutes which saved us. I wasn't amazing though, I didn't score all match and I was supposed to. I really want us to do well as a team.

After two hours of practice, we took a break. I sat with Michael, Tom, Gokhan, Clay and Ben. Basically all our boys are in the football squad.

'Who's going to Alex's party on Friday?' Said Ben, whilst eating his sandwich.

'Me. All the girls in the year is probably going' said Tom. All he ever did was think about girls.

'I need to go to my dad's birthday' said Clay. He groaned whilst checking his phone.

I looked over at Michael. 'Michael you?'

'Yeah we'll go right?'

'Cool' I said. Hmmm, I wonder if Claire is going. Even the thought of her gave me goosebumps.

CLAIRES POV-

'Claire there's a party on Friday you know' said Gemma, whilst I was scrolling through my phone.

'Yeah we're not going'

'Why?' She whined.

'Gemma let's go out for dinner together. I don't want to go'

'Good idea but why don't you want to go? I mean Michael might want me there, Shane would definitely want you there' She looked me in the eye and smirked.

'But Gemma, you know I don't want to see him go off with another girl-'

'Do you like him?' Gemma said, finally getting very interested.

'No but--'

'Bullshit! you've never spent this much time with another boy'

'It's because of our project! But when he said that in assembly last week I was quite.. jealous? I don't know gem' I said hopelessly.

'Right, we are definitely going now! oh my god I'll give you a makeover and get you all dressed up. If he looks at you this much when you have no makeup, then he will not be able to take how hot you are when you dress up'

I blushed. 'Fine, but if he goes off with another girl that's it. I will never even think about him in that way ever again'

'I know you won't' she said, but she looked exited.

The next morning we had personal education first. It's good that I can sit next to Shane because the teacher isn't strict so we get to talk all lesson.

When I entered the classroom with Yasmin, Shane was already here. His presence made me smile. He was sitting on a table, talking to his friend, Clay.

'Isn't clay cute?' Yasmin exclaimed. She flicked her brunette hair away from her face, still looking at the muscly, brunette boy in front of her.

'Yes, plus he doesn't have a girlfriend' I said, chuckling at her.

'Hmm, I think I'll have to Change that soon then' she said and we both laughed. Both boys heard us laughing, and looked over.

Shane smiled. 'Hey girls' he said.

The teacher walked in and everyone walked to their seats. I said hi to Shane as we sat down.

'How was training last night?' I said, making conversation.

'Good but tiring, as usual. What did you do yesterday?'

'I was at Gemma's but I done half of section 3 of our project.' I said, quite proudly.

'What?' he said. 'It's not fair on you working on your own. Let's meet to do some after school, trainings not on today'

'Okay that's good' I said.

'Claire bear, you coming to the party this Friday?' he said, looking up at me.

'I think so. Are you?'

'Yeah' he said, smiling. God, why did his smile have to be so cute? 'Im going with Michael and the boys but we can pick you up.'

'Gemma's dad will probably drop us off'

I said.

'Right, when is your dad coming back'

'He called yesterday. I think he's coming back in 2 weeks.'

'I want to see if you look alike'

'Sort of. But we have different habits. I don't think I act like him in any way'

He laughed. 'Michael looks like his mum and you look like his mum too. I can just tell that you two are cousins you know'

'Have you got any cousins?' I asked curiously. I didn't know anything about his family except from he had a brother, mum and dad.

'Loads! Some live in Australia. Hardly see them, but I love going in the summer. I think I'm going next summer.'

'Lucky!! Never been there' I sighed and he laughed.

'I'll take you with me Claire bear.' He winked and I smiled. Blushed in fact.

The next few minutes went by in silence. We got some work done, as we were behind. Before we knew it, the bell rung.

We both gathered our stuff and walked out together. Yasmin and clay sit near the back, so Yasmin was waiting for me by the door and Clay was waiting for Shane.

Clay and Shane went to the changing rooms to talk to their coach, so me and Yasmin went canteen to the rest of the girls.

The rest of the break was spent talking about Friday.

'Gemma, what hair style would suit with this dress?' Rachel asked, showing gramma a picture of her dress on her iPhone. It was a mini body-con dress, cream and had a gold shoulder for decoration. It looked quite nice.

'Anything really, but your hair down suits you more' replied Gemma.

'Yeah, oh my god use the new curlers you have!' Said Yasmin. She was obviously exited about Friday.

'What you wearing?' Amber asked me.

I looked at Gemma. 'I'm not sure yet. Don't think there's time to go shopping before then. I'll find a dress at home' I'm always a last minute person. I never organise things much, never interests me.

'Anyone want to line up to get food with me?' Yasmin asked.

'Yepp' I said and followed her to the line. I brought a salad sandwich and got Gemma a drink. Yasmin got two waffles.

When we returned to the line, Shane entered the canteen. As he was entering he was putting his hand through his hair. As he got to the glass windows, he looked at his reflection before sitting down at his table.

I didn't notice but I think I was staring at him for a good while, I walked into a chair! Yasmin started laughing and I just sighed. Sometimes I'm so stupid.

Shane had a really bad boy look to him; his hair was always bed head messy, but he had the best hair ever. Hair is important, it changes a boys look completely. His one was medium length but longer at the top, in small blonde locks everywhere on his head.

His eyes were a hazel tone, and they looked like they smiled at me. His skin was flawless, any girl would want his skin. He had no facial hair apart from a short stubble. His nose was not small but not big, just the perfect size. As for his teeth, they looked like a celebrities.

Basically, he was flawless. And I think I had a crush on him. Obviously, no one would ever know my crush for him because it's only a crush.
